  • HD my ass

  • When the pins fall without the support of the key, does this break the lock? And if not how do I fix it.

  • @sparky9278 No the pins falling back down would not break the lock. If you are having a problem with a lock just send me a private message and I will see if I can help you out with whatever is wrong with it.

  • @NoNeedForAKey Nah, I just wanted to no before I tried it, thanks for the help.

  • @sparky9278 No problem man. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

  • lockpicking has increased to 49

  • nice video mate

  • Lockpicking increased from 47 to 48!

  • Stop! You violated the law. Pay the court a fine or serve your sentence. Your stolen goods are now forfeit.

  • PER +1, Lockpick Skill +3

  • where can u get one of these???

  • Where can i get the clear lock housing??

  • @staples2196 I bought mine from Southern Ordinance, but plenty of places carry them. Search for "Acrylic lock housing" and you'll find plenty.

  • What chance is there of security pins an does a pick gun bypass them

  • @scouser96100

Pretty much all but the cheapest of locks have security pins now. Pick guns can bypass them, but so can a regular pick. Personally, a regular pick is much easier to use.

  • did you ripped that from your door :D hahahahahh

  • So when you push the pin up to the sheer line, it just holds until you've pushed up the other pins? or do you have to keep it in place?

  • @DooomSurf that's what the tension wrench is for. The torque you apply hold the top part of the pin in place.

  • @drewella77 wtf it's not new vagas

  • This is why no one is safe in New Vegas.

  • Thumbs up if this reminds you of Oblivion.

  • @Hrd2GtProductions or splinter cell for the original xbox

  • How come the pins don't just pop back down after you line them up?

  • Comment removed

  • I cant freakin do it. i know how a lock works, i know what i have to do, i have the tools, but i just cant seem to pick my freakin lock

  • So, correct me if I am wrong but, what you are doing is separating the the two pins, the one on the spring and the other pin, from each other?

  • @OMGItzBarky yes, thats what he's doing. There are actually 10 pins in this video. The pins on the inside of the lock have to rotate with the lock, the others stay on the top. You have to bring them all to the right position (the point where they touch each other has to be at the border of the "inner case" of the lock, so the inner case can rotate

  • Where can I get one of these clear demo locks?

  • Hey, so, i've managed to pick the lock on my door but, for some reason, after i get the cylinder to turn it gets stuck before it completely rotates and the door won't open. do you know what's going on?

  • @MasterChen sounds like security pins. they fool you into thinking you've successfully picked it.

  • ok so i got myself a 4 pin padlock and was able to get all pins to lock up but it wouldnt turn, but as it was a good brand (master locks) i thought maybe there was some kind of hidden safety (although the pins werent spool pins or anything). i got a cheap tri circle padlock, with 6 pins, but have the same trouble, all the pins lock up but it still wont turn. any ideas what im doing wrong?

  • so when applying pressure with the wrench it keeps the top pin from falling back in place? So if I let off the tension it will just reset right?

  • Do you still have the link for the lock? I want to practice using a acrylic lock, but I can't find any.

  • @CoinDl

Most burglars don't pick locks, most throw rocks through windows :-P

  • @Tsenru i like to throw a rock through the window and fix it and then pick lock the door so it makes me look more professional ha jk

  • @Tsenru its cause they didn't watch your videos lol

  • Hi-Def...eh...alright I guess

  • @bakonfreek:

I know :-P When I first recorded it YouTube didn't really allow true Hi-def stuff (and I couldn't have afforded the camcorder even if they did). I've been meaning to rerecord this demo on my T2i in 1080, but, well, I'm lazy.

  • @Tsenru ah lazyness...I understand ya bro

  • @Tsenru I love the "I'm Lazy" part

  • how do u know ur at the right pins?

  • @selena4535

You don't, really. You work on whichever pin sticks--usually, front to back or back to front will get you the best results, if the lock is machined sloppily. Generally speaking though, the pin with the greatest resistance to movement is the binding pin, which you should work on first. Each lock is different, so this may not always help.

  • srry i picked a deadbolt *im 9 yrs old*lol

  • I use a a brick...

  • @CoinDl How to create a home made nuclear reactor?

  • @uzzobb

i saw that vid, you can make a nuclear reactor from household household items

  • i tried it. the thing is all locks i ever seen(not in america) are first allways with the cylinders down. then there is this edge thing so i cant even get the pin in because the cylinder is in the way. and the lock is pretty small so its hard to work around in there and feel anything. all in one i cant even insert anything in that f*cking lock.

  • @dudeyea727 SHUT!!! THE!!! FUCK!!! UP!!! :D

  • 1) Hold your breath.

    2) Copy all of these steps.

    3) Go to two other video.

    4) Paste it in the comments.

If you can do all of this without breathing you're a god

  • it sounds too simple, whats keeping the pins up?

  • @Hiddenjello the torque from pushing the lock to the side with the other tool, not the pick itself

  • so where would you buy picking equiptment?

  • subscribe plz

  • Y is there a sausage on the top ????

  • ok,i have been wanting to get into this, however i dont know like what a good kit would be that i could buy,do you have any suggestions?

  • 60 exp earned

  • @darkninjamandelta I found nothing in this room :( Not worth it

  • Can u tell me why the other pins dont fall down while u pick for exaample the first pin ?

  • how we know which way the key or tension wrench should be turned?

  • @shotgunpi all you have to do to know which way to turn it is turn the torque wrench clockwise and counter clockwise and whichever way gives more is the way the lock should turn you should be able to feel which way gives more

or if that does work then apply torque clockwise and push the first pin down if it sets, thats the way to go if not then its the other way. I hope this makes sense :)

  • @shotgunpi most of the time its clockwise but on some deadbolts it just depends.

  • Excellent Video.

  • where can i find a lock like that

  • @912XD

I posted in the comments a while back, I bought mine at Southern Ordinance online, but lots of people carry them. I think I've seen them cheaper a few other websites since then, so just poke around a bit.

  • @Tsenru thanks

  • @912XD

lockpicks dot you know what carries them now

  • Thank you ive always wondered how locks work

  • thats so cool

  • the day greedy and dishonest ppl from the world disappear, the profession of locksmith and security would disappear.

  • @virgoptrex I've broken into something like 50 houses in my time. I'm 18 and i just do it at night time for fun.. Not everyone that knows how to pick a lock is there to steal.

  • @The3irdpyro I once had the childish idea of breaking into peoples houses and leaving some kind of trophy there, as a hobby. I imagined the newspapers would write about this mysterious man (me), giving me some cool name. I belive I was inspired by Ocean's Twelve or Thirteen.

Now a few years later I'm glad I never made reality of that idea. It could've gone really bad if I was caught. If I found an intruder in my house at night I wouldn't hesitate to use violence.

  • @virgoptrex Which will be never. Thats what america is. people filled with gree, lust, and dishonesty.

  • @virgoptrex Which will be never. Thats what america is. people filled with greed, lust, and dishonesty.

  • Yes, becase the other pins are blocking the movement, just the "button" rotates "significantly" and that´s how the pin holds

  • but when it's such easy , why doesn't it works at my lock?

  • @maxiking8496 either you can't properly pick a lock yet, or it has specially designed safety pins that make picking more difficult.

  • what about a pair of bolt cutters???

  • That's better than a video game, to keep me occupied.

  • 100% AWESOME

    great video

    5 o/o 5

  • haha ty i didnt understand b4 this

  • I love lockpicking. I've recently come across a series of locks that go under the name 'Twice' (Yeah, the manufacturer's/model's name is 'twice').

It symbolizes the structure; it has two sets of pins. 7 above and 6 below. It's a real nuisance. I can't fit a tension wrench and two pics inside, and I haven't found any kinds of "Double-bumpers". Any clues?

  • FYI other people; these kind of transparent locks are not good for practicing lockpicking, they are good for understanding the mechanics of the lock, you can search for a lockpicking practice lock that has interchangable pins, and spools, which are 20-30 bucks, which are much better for learning the art of NDE. (non destructive entry)

  • I should also acquire a lucky carrot.

  • thank you this heped me a lot : )

  • is that a carrot on top

  • i think it a sausage

  • It's just the clamp I attached it to the table with :-P

  • thanks

  • Where you found this training lock,i mean transparent?

  • A lockpick supply store. I think it was Southern Ordinance.

  • thanks man. Now...to practice.

  • how would u make a pick set out of saw blades if u dnt have a grinder

  • You can use a file, but it takes a long time. I use a dremel with cutting blades.

  • nice vid man , easy to fallow 5s

  • i dont understand how the upper pins stay up after having been "picked". wouldn't the spring force them back down?

  • My understanding is the torque that is applied by the tension wrench keeps the pins from being "forced" back down.

  • No because the cilinder doesn't let them go down.

  • The tension you apply to the torque wrench rotates the cylinder just enough that the pins catch on the edge of the cylinder. It can literally be a fraction of a millimeter.

  • @K3N7CR1P3 on the picking video : no the top pins (pop) pins don't the key or pick when you get a advance click the tumbler pushes agianst the wall of the lock

  • i understood a LOT... man i'm so PROUD of understanding at last the mechanism... thx... 5/5 sure1!!

  • excellent demo mate, this will really help the beginer pickers : ) 5*

  • great tutorial

    locks looks so stupid transparent

even expensive locks looks like this

    genius

  • Even though your comment is 2months old I'll comment anyway.

Yeah, when I started to do a little research on how locks work so I could learn to pick them I was a tad shocked. They are so primitive haha, I can get through the ones at my house in under 30seconds (I'm new), so they are pretty useless.

  • primitive is the suitable word.

locks are ancient from old egypt.

even fingerprint locks use the same pins.

  • Oh really? That's cool, but what is a fingerprint lock may I ask

  • Biometric Fingerprint Lock

  • great tutorial

  • way kool man.

  • wow ausome! Thank you so much for this
