I agree with nancyhastrew I wish the us gov would repel the trade embargo on cuba. plus am i the only one who may have noticed that when she looked at the camaera man she was still rolling and cutting the cigar? I know the answer already but still Awesome anyone.

Their illegality might add to the allure in the States, but here in Canada they are perfectly legal. I can't personally attest to the flavour but my husband likes them and has smoked the others you mention. The best ones he ever had were bought directly from the plantation, made at the farmer's kitchen table. Too bad you Americans can't travel there, it's a great experience to go.

Cuban cigars are over-rated. There are several Nicaraguan, Honduran and Dominican Republic cigars that could stand up to Cubans. Cubans' illegality adds to the mystique, adding to the hype. I've smoked them, and yes they're good, some are VERY good, but they aren't the smoke of the gods a lot of people would make them out to be.

@quantana927 i agree that cuban cigars arent the only good cigars but i disagree with the rest of what you say, they are legal here in canada and they are still by far the most prefered cigars. now other countries cigars maybe be outstanding smokes but the best cubans are the best cigars.
