if u wna know i am using this vid for making my own map on halo reach so thank u for how u show the whole rainbow road dude. i am happy ur vid showed up it is gonna be rlly good.
@transforgers Sounds good to me, I think there's another custom Halo 2 map based on Rainboy Road floating around somewhere, you may want to check that out too.
@w00tage111 i want to work from the original and u show the map off great. i dont want to work from a modded thing. and i thought that the map from halo 2 sucked. lol. so i will use ur video to make it. my bro deleted my map...... :( i had the final turn thingy left and now i have to restart......... nooooooooooooooooo!!
from now on, I want President Obama to make people play this song at each funeral haha. It's all good if different pitches or remixes were added to it.
in most cases, examine the size of the machine to the size of the road, and you will see that it isn't actually moving nearly as fast is the game says it is. Because, compare a sedan to the f-zero machine and u will also see that the amount of distance the f zero covers in a second is the amount of distance a sedan can cover in about 2-3 seconds :D i was pissed off when i found this
@Ganondorf112 It's called videogame physics. I'm not even sure how you can compare the distances when there's no conversion to the size of the track or kart for perspective. Pixels per second on the other hand...
@w00tage111 Take the smash bros. series. Comapare capt. falcon's size to mario's, you can assume the differenc between the mario karts and the blue falcon. Now imagine the mario karts on the f-zero courses. The mario karts wouldn't take even 4 or 5 times the time to complete the courses (size / speed comparison). As for video game physics, I agree they are fun to play around with and sometimes downright stupid

@Ganondorf112 Take the smash bros series. You can see the size of mario compared to captain falcon. therefore, we can assume the difference in size of the mario karts to the blue falcon. Put it this way, imagine the size of the mario karts on the f-zero courses. Now remember the speeds the karts can travel at. We can se that they will not take even 4 or 5 times as long to get arund the same courses. As for video game physics, I agree that they are fun to play around with.
@Ganondorf112 The fact that you took the time and effort just to figure this out for sheer curiosity speaks volumes about the culture and lifestyle we gaming nerds lead.
God I'm proud to be a gamer. :'D *claps you on the shoulder*
@MrMe05 the core of the course is similar, but proportions mustn't be ignored; the f zerro racer is exponentially bigger than the kart, so the course must grow as well
@w00tage111 Actually if you properly speedrun the original Mario Kart 64 track it takes about 3:30, but it takes either a ton of luck or a lot of practice.
I was watching this video watch?v=Cc7vyMcM9wM and for me the two tracks - this and the original Mario Kart one - are the same. It seems to me the lenght is the same, the shape is the same, the up and downhills. Also, in the both videos the players are "just cruising", the skills are alike, and the Luigi's kart did the track 1st lap in 1'26'45 using a shortcut, while the Blue Falcon did the 1st lap in 1'01'38.
Should be fun have this course on Trackmania. When I have a spare time I'll make it.
@saomuel well, this course was based directly off of the Mario Kart 64 one, so it's no coincidence. Nintendo purposely made it that way (music included, or at least for the Expansion Kit)
You know, if you think about it, this track is like, a bajillion times longer than the Mario Kart 64 one. Because go karts don't go at speeds like 600+ km/h. I can only imagine how funny it would be to see something like that though.
@Zenestro Yeah, wouldn't it be funny to see the F-Zero racers racing on the original course designed for small go-karts? On the converse, if the go-karts were racing on this! It'd take about a year for them to actually finish.
yes, you had to put the expansion kit version because the original tracks in the cartridge version are in MONO due to the compression. size was so limited to get the 60 fps and 30 cars at the same time insane speeds. still such a kickss soundtrack for this game.
you can ONLY if you have the expansion pak's track editor, be very wary of this fact (Which I don't think is included with the Wii's VC version)
luckly, you do not need the expansion pak to enjoy the awesomeness of this particular course (although it does do something for this track, but that's at the end of this movie in annotations)
This song is so awesome! I thought it only appeared in Mario Kart 64 and one part appeared in Mario Kart Double Dash. This remix is awesome too! I should get this game!

actually, if you were to simply cruise on Rainbow Road in Mario Kart 64...it'd take around 6 minutes.
If you were to properly speedrun both courses...
Mario Kart 64- approx. 5 minutes
F-Zero X- less than 2 minutes
But I suck at both so....
