Thanks for the video! That dark clock has been annoying me for months, now it's all fixed thanks to your vid and a $4 twin pack of bulbs from my local auto parts store. For others from Australia like me, I couldn't find the Sylvania bulbs from the video, but the Narva ones from Autobarn worked just fine!
Yes, the original bulb was very difficult to pull out, but I still did it with my bare hands. You could probably use a rubber grip (for removing canned good lids) but it WILL come out. Just be careful that it does not shatter in your hand.
Did you have issues removing the original bulb from the red plastic? It looks like you are showing the removal of the new bulb which might have gone in/come out easier. This is where I'm stuck.
