  • Love kaoss pads, love Daft Punk, think this is a great idea, just think it could maybe have used a bit more planning/a little less kaoss padding

  • wow you just got a choas pad and have learnt how to add some shitty effects

  • I bet some of you jokers probably couldn't do much better.

  • yea u fucked it up lol, nothing personal. Try recording onto audacity or something and editing the mp3 over the video or it just sounds like this lol. I'd love to hear this video with the mp3 of it swapped for this ass balls sound quality. I'm a noob and I do this on my videos so they don't sound like this, normally I don't care but you sound like your in a cave lmao

  • "The Kaoss Pad 3 is a powerful tool indeed."

Totally agree, just look at what awful things you did to such a decent song.

  • O_O

  • He's jamming, take it easy!

  • It just sounded like noise...

  • He is demonstrating the principles just fine, you fucking bridge trolls. Obviously you are able to imagine the potential thereof, and so he has done a good job. @ michellesuxmyD : Empathy goes a long way. If you are gonna troll... at least be as funny as becks02adw.

  • Good job u just fucked up the song

  • @becks02adw DUDE YOU ARE A GENIUS

  • I'm sleeping during...

  • horrible timing on everything!

  • great!!!!!

  • direct line would have been awesome for good sound quality, but I still enjoyed this vid. Keep rockin' out!!

  • No skill at all... that is the most ridiculous looking thing ever...

  • cool cool!

  • WTF was he doing ? -___

  • @joingsa25 mixing .. :)

  • can you record a whole song to the pad?

  • sick.....

  • you didnt do shit in this video...

  • @seajist Shut your mouth, troll.

  • Nice

  • cooool!

  • @ invrse

What is the song playing at the start of the video?

  • Why is the video mirrored?

  • Seems like a lot of button changing just for a few FX here and there, I was interested in getting this, but may stick with the mini KP... any reason why this is far superior besides loops, the SWEET LIGHT ACTION, and USB?

  • agg!!

    =oO

    OOG!!!

  • geeze dude let the song play!

  • hey keep practicing, dont let people come down on you for trying to make anything. keep it up man.

  • hahaha why did you even put this video up? just asking for negative comments

  • @jamiev4 Then don't watch it idiot

  • sounds like shit man (y)

  • @lightzone1 Then why are you watching it idiot

  • @tecno98 That must be one of the most stupid things i've heard in the last few days.

The video sucks, is it wrong to give my opinion?

  • @lightzone1 Yeah well u don't have to leave your opinion cuz it makes u a jerk

  • @tecno98 I could have said it a bit nicer but giving my opinion does not make me a jerk. whats usefull about only getting positive comments?

  • Can you plug a mic into it and use say reverb and delay on vocals? And how many vocals can you use at once?

  • yes and u can actually fill every loop with vocals. thats how beatboxers use this.

  • controls on oposite sides?

  • Now i understand the invrse thing...

  • they used one when they performed with kanye

  • kick ass man

  • where can i get one of those iam a starting up dj and tat looked pretty kool and wat verison should i get and wat is a good price for them

  • i think you can get them at the local guitar center store but they require you to at least be able to spell before you can purchase it.

    was this helpful?

  • kaoss 3 is good and you can get em at guitar center

  • @armerulez I got a used one from a New Jersey Guitar Center for about around $375 and enless you go ebay (I don't suggest) that's a great price

  • @armerulez I got the KAOSS PAD KP3 used at a New Jersey Guitar Center for bout $375 and enless you go ebay (not suggested) its a good deal!!!

  • to use it like this that is, how do you dj the song with it?

  • Yeah, it's pretty easy to get a hang of. I found it better to use its effects along with a sampler. There's still so many people messaging me on this old account, lol.

It only holds 4 samples in its bank, and switching between them with the card will stop the audio. It was meant more as a live performance sampler than anything else though.

  • what sampler do you use? and what software might i add? definitely picking this up..

  • I'm less of a hardware guy, simply because software is getting really stable and it fits my work flow. Kontakt is definitely great to use. Ditto for Battery. Both by Native Instruments. You might want to check out Maschine too if you want a hardware interface, but it's software dependent.

Ableton Live is a great piece of software, expensive, but I find it worth it. I'm still saving up for a copy though.

  • ah i got a copy of ableton 7 from a friend, so ive been messing around with that as well as logic pro. i still have to get some hardware though. i love this (the kp3) because you can sample and everything with it, and like remix, but also is great to like do your own live stuff which im interested in. im also interested in making my own stuff, this seems like it can handle stuff on its own. would this be good as my first piece of equipment?

what were the 4 samples in this video?

  • Uh, I think an MPC would be pretty good if you're into sampling.

Uh, I can't even remember what samples I loaded on, like, the harder, better, faster, stronger, part, and the work it, make it, do it, makes us, part, and I just put them both together, and the interweaved, and then the instrumental sample from the song, and the chorus bit.

  • Got it. Thanks for all the help. I think I'm going to pick one of these up, they can (apparently) be used as a MIDI controller as well.

  • Yeah, it's actually a really good price, even if it were just a MIDI controller on its own.

    8 top bottoms,

    8 virtual touch faders

4 additional buttons, a fader, and a knob, or something like that.

It really helps to install the software that comes bundled with it too, it helps you assign MIDI CC to the buttons if you ever decide to use it like that.

  • I see. and the HOLD button seems like itd be pretty useful

  • are the effects from your software?

  • Nope. This is purely the KP3. Nothing attached.

  • That is DOPE. I have to get this. haha

  • THere from the KP lol It has internal effects

  • last question: does it play through computer speakers via USB? because i dont see RCA cables here.

  • Yeah, I used the 1/4" stereo output on the back. The only data it sends via USB is MIDI information, useful if you just want to use it with the computer or a plugin.

  • @wewantstroma look 2 the left. Phono in and outputs.

  • I was in the same boat as you man. I started of with the same software and i got a Korg NanoPAD and a Novation Nocturn midi controllers and then i bought a Keyrig49 and a microkorg you can pretty much do all the beginner stuff you need with that setup. Or you can get like an MPC for samples like sbtrctd said or maybe even an Akai MPD24 depending on how much of a beginner you are. Hope this helps Just send me a message if you need some more help :)

  • you just convinced me to pick one of these up. is it hard to do this?

  • want it but i g2 wait im buying laptop a mixer mini kaoss and kaossintor i gotta get a job first fer this ahh

  • this is the shit.

  • OMG the coolest part ever it sounds liek something daft punk would actually do is 2:15 to 2:36

  • nice one dude, i like it :)

  • yes this is mad, i know this is much better but whats the difference between this and the mini kaos pad?

  • @DirtyProductOfficial Well really the Mini KP has only 100effects (no synths or sounds) it can't record or sample and only the Mini KP can run on batteries but if you want one i highly highly suggest geting the KP3 from a guitar center or other trustworthy pro-audio store

  • Fuckin sweet man

  • gah it still looks really complicated to work! haha i guess im just gonna have to try one out myself to figure it out.

  • FUCKING SIK

  • Next great track :D

  • man thats cool. nice work.

  • how much does a kp3 go for?

  • approximately $300

  • no its 400

  • Comment removed

  • ~$427.93 after tax ^_^

    idk w/ shipping & handling

  • i found it for $335.00. depending where you live, devide it into the tax amount, and there ya go. lol... here, tax is around 8%

  • @CYPHthequadfather Around $300 (ebay(not suggested))-$400(Pro-Audio Stores(Highly suggested))

  • can you do these with a mini-kp3?

  • nice man, good use of the line / mic switch! i dont know why people dont use this more often!

  • pure sex

  • how did u get those loops =O...i want em...well atleast the vocals

  • I sampled them from the song itself. Nothing special. :P

  • how would i sample a vocal by itself, without any drums or anything under it?

    besides getting an acapella version

  • I actually just chopped it from the song, so there are drums underneath the vocals. Only other way I'd imagine is to use a vocoder, software or hardware. A simple 8-band vocoder should be sufficient.

  • dj of the future

  • @Holic1337 for real it makes me want to buy one just to see what i can come up with.
