  • Is this a good guitar for shredding really fast and playing Metallica and Iron Maiden?

  • @smOfficialMusic yep. perfect.

  • Nice demo! I have a Schecter Blackjack atx c-1 fr and I will buy this one soon! :)

  • What´s the difference of the CUSTOM and the STANDARD model? Im thinking in buy it, but there´s just the Standard model.

  • @diegosantimarinhodsm the custom has american made seymour duncans and not the cheaply made duncan designed pickups that are made over seas. it doesn't have locking tuners, and it's not as good of a guitar in general in my opinion.

  • Hey, nice demo!

Have you compared the C-1 Custom to the Solo 6 Custom? I'm buying one of the two, but not sure which I would prefer. From what I gather, the only real difference (other than the looks) is the wood used for the neck (Solo 6 uses mahogany neck) and the two extra frets on the C-1. Also, the string-thru body design on the C-1. I really want to know if the tone is indistinguishable between the two.

  • @itguy43 i unfortunately haven't compared the two together. i have a solo 6 damien elite, but that one has active pickups and is a different guitar. im pretty sure if the only difference is the two extra frets and the neck wood, then it comes to be a personal choice. mahogany tends to put out darker tones verses maple and. rosewood is also a darker sounding wood. it's up to you man. i don't think the tone would be that different. hope this helps a little. rock on.

  • Schecter all the way. forget Gibson, over priced.

  • which one is better this or the hellraiser or the blackjack?

  • @Max45090 blackjack

  • @Max45090 i don't like the 89TW pickup in the bridge on the Hellraisers. I love EMG pickups though. the blackjacks are just really solid guitars. The hellraisers are definitely nice, but if you ask me, id go with a blackjack. just my opinion though.

  • @Max45090

  • Hey could you tell me the song you played at 5:30 it would be greatly appreciated thanks.

  • @Origina1saltine Waking The Demon by Bullet For My Valentine then I went into Hearts Burst Into Fire by Bullet For My Valentine.

  • ohh i forgot it

    God bless you man!

  • Thanks a lot man!

i wanted a fender american strat

    but i can't afford one

but this schecter hook me up!

  • Hi there!

    is this a versatile guitar?

i play in church, some times i need brilliant sounds

  • @ramonUC this is probably the most versatile guitar i have ever played. that's what i love about it. it can play EVERY TYPE OF MUSIC!!!!! it would be perfect for your church. i'm not just saying that, i really think it would perform great at your church. rock on bro!

  • is there a way i can get it in this color?

  • @daylantin yeah im sure your local guitar shop could order it in this color if they don't have it in stock for you. or you could just order it online. the color is see-thru-blue.

  • @MegaGuitarman22 ok thank you man. i will pick this guitar up. any tips on it before i buy?

  • @daylantin umm i don't have any tips really. the guitar is good to go from the start. there is not one thing i don't like about it. its great. plays just as nice if not better than any PRS or Gibson i have played.

  • Hey , I've heard this guitar has a very dark tone, even in the bridge pickup. How does it compare to a Gibson SG or Les Paul Traditonal (not Standard)?

  • @astrophysics123 it does have a dark tone, but the bridge pickup is pretty bright to me. I have a '74 gibson les paul deluxe, and i can say that i get a more powerful sound and its a bit punchier. Its all a personal preference. I prefer playing this guitar rather than the les paul.

  • @MegaGuitarman22 thanks man, i'm definetely looking forward to buying this guitar.

  • @astrophysics123 no problem man. enjoy the new axe.

  • Hello... hey boy i would know. what effects or Amplifier do you use to get that effect???, if you can explain me whit details i would like.... thanks and i hope your answer....

  • @eae3g9hx the first amp i am using is a fender deville with a decent amount of reverb. the next amp i use for distortion and that is my marshall mg15cdr.

  • Great vid, thanks for the demo. Clean tones much appreciated! Pulled the trigger after the first riff.

  • @LostTraveler47 Thank you very much. I have another vid of me doing the sound versatility with this guitar. If you want more demo of clean and distortion, go ahead and watch that one. Thank you very much for watching.

  • How fat is the neck btw?

  • @guitaristdho it's pretty normal. little thinner than most guitars. but it's not super thin, but it's thinner than strats and les pauls.

  • is it good for more old school rock?

you know... led zeppelin, guns n' roses, ac/dc, hendrix...

  • @XiderOmri It is actually better for old school rock rather than metal. Very solid guitar for old school rock.

  • @MegaGuitarman22 This is a very well-rounded guitar. It's one of the most versatile production guitars that's ever hit the market.

It does well with clean blues to metal.

  • Can someone please answer my question: when the C-1 custom is coiled and distorted, does it hum a lot like a regular single-coil?

  • @guitaristdho I'm not gonna lie, it does hum, but it's not a lot. There is no way to get around the hum with a passive pickup guitar. Unless you wrap the backing covers in aluminum foil. But yes it does hum, but not badly.

  • @MegaGuitarman22 thanks!

  • Would this guitar sound great for bands like ADTR and August Burns Red...cause im startin to dig this guitar but dont know if itll suit my style of playing.

  • @triforceguitarist dude the guitar sounds great for those bands. check out my cover of Composure by ABR and My Life For Hire by ADTR. I'm playing that guitar for the covers.

  • @MegaGuitarman22

thanks for replying fast man. I can't decide between this and a Tempest Custom.

  • @triforceguitarist My friend has the Tempest Custom (the new one). It's the exact same thing as this guitar, but it has 22 frets instead of 24. It's a sweet guitar, just a different body style. If you're not a huge stratocaster body style person then the Tempest Custom is a nice change. I've played it. Plays very nicely. Both are really sweet guitars. Just comes down to personal opinion.

  • Was there a C-1 Custom ever made that was not as blue as this one? If so, what year was it put out? I just saw one exactly the same as this one in a music store that was blue, but it was not as bright a blue as this one.

  • @aorphia I'm not sure if there was a darker blue. I'm sure there was. I do not know the year. If you go to schecter's website, im sure you can find past models. This guitar tends to change color depending on the light.

  • @MegaGuitarman22 Oh okay, that's cool to know... your guitar show a beautiful royal type of blue in the video. Can you possibly tell me what chords you were playing from the time-line 6:13 and on from there or dot them out for me within the frets... I like the sound of those chords. Thanks! I'm fixing to go and get that same guitar on the 5th of this month.

  • @aorphia those chords can be found in the pre verse and verse to the song Hearts Burst Into by Bullet For My Valentine. just search the tab. easy chords. if you need help, just message me and i will gladly help you out.

    Have fun shredding man. Thanks!

  • I thinkI might start saving up...

  • @Shredderistic6 Yeah man!!!!!! It's definitely worth it. You won't be disappointed.

  • @MegaGuitarman22 thanks!

  • Does the Schecter C-1 Custom hum like a regular single coil when coil-taped and overdrive?

  • nice guitar

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet !!

  • @us164 thanks man!

  • what marshall do you have?

and are you using any pedals?

  • @arvybindra using a marshall mg15cdr, not using any pedals with it. it's 45 watts.

  • I want another Schecter that is a step up from my omen but I don't know what to do. I play metal and like shredding but I really don't like EMGs which unfortunately are the standard for nearly all metal guitars now. So I don't know what to get.. This is one of the guitars I was looking into, any suggestions? thanks.

  • @Daemonfury1 this is the one for you. if your not a huge EMG fan then that is not a problem. your only other basic option for an active pickup is Seymour Duncan Blackouts. My friend has them and he likes them a lot. EMG's in my opinion are really good for shred and metal. I have a schecter damien elite solo 6 with EMG's and it shreds man. This guitar here is outstanding for all types of music. I play a lot of metal on it and it's really an amazing guitar. It's the best price ever too.

  • Definitely my next investment.

  • @yoimer06 great choice my friend.

  • @17solstice yes it is. it is very good for metal. if you want a more straight ahead metal guitar, checkout my review of the Schecter Damien Elite Solo 6. has active pickups and those are higher output and better for metal. but yes, this guitar is very good for metal.

  • man, I need help picking out a guitar; It's between the ltd h1001 deluxe (no trem), the hellraiser c-1 (not the special, the same price as the h1001), and the c-1 custom; I can't decide T_T Some help please?

  • @rubbadude hmm well the c-1 custom that i have shown here has passive pickups. the other two you mentioned have active. i have a schecter damien elite (review of that as well) which i would recommend over the c-1 hellraiser because it's a better price for the same thing basically. so check out my review of the schecter damien elite solo 6 (you can get the c-1 damien elite if you like the strat look better). also do you play metal or a little bit of everything?

  • @MegaGuitarman22 I'm looking for a guitar that could play alternative/classic rock, and still have the ability to play metal, or vice versa, able to play metal but also lets me play some tunes that aren't as heavy. As for pickups, I know that Active ones are more suited as for as metal goes but I don't mind the sound of passive pickups either. I'm still looking around and I've got plenty of time till I actually go buy a guitar so I'm still open to options ^^

  • @rubbadude this is the guitar for you then man. it's passive Seymour Duncans (American Made High Quality) are beast. You have Seymour Duncan Custom Custom SH-11 in the bridge and Seymour Duncan JB-59 in the neck. Amazing setup man. Plays very well. You will not be disappointed.

  • haha dude I love Drop C tuning, that guitar, Bullet, and that Fender Deville sounds exactlyyy like mine, freaky haha. That axe is on the top of my list, it has everything in my demanding list for my next guitar. Ebony fret board, mother of pearl inlays, maple top on body and headstock, toggle switch, neck and headstock binding and the tremolo version comes with a real Floyd Rose. A Jackson Soloist is more than twice the price! However it only comes in black for lefties and it has a short scale.

  • @AlmightySnake Thanks man. Yeah it's an amazing guitar and I love it. That's cool that you have almost the same setup as me!!!! Rock on bro.

  • Is the guitar really that blue or does the video just make it look a lot more "rich".

  • @flamesRules it's actually that blue. no joke. it's absolutely amazing.

  • Would you recomend this or the hellraiser? :)

  • @SaraTheWolf depends if you want more metal or more versatility. as far as versatility goes, i would go with this one. the hellraiser is great but it's not as versatile. i have a damien elite solo 6 with active emg 81/85 combo. the hellraiser has 81/89 TW if im not mistaken. I do not like the 89TW on clean at all. The 85 is much better. So i would actually reccomend my damien elite over the hellraiser.

  • This or a B.C. Rich Mockingbird ST?

  • @TheBlakeWilliamson In my opinion, I would go with this guitar. Don't get me wrong, the B.C. Rich Mockingbird ST is a great guitar, I have checked it out, but I think you get better pickups with the Schecter. It's ultimately your choice though dude. Hope this helped.

  • @MegaGuitarman22 Alright, thanks bro. it helped a lot.. I've decided to get this one[:

  • I'm hoping to get one of these babies real soon!! It's gonna look so sweet next to my black cherry Hellraiser, like good and evil twins!

  • @goheklikaplunco dude i have the exact same setup that you will have! i have a black cherry schecter damien elite solo 6 (not a hellraiser but it's almost the same thing). it looks just how you describe it "good and evil twins!"

  • Indonesia... Am i correct? :) Nice review regardless, thanks man

  • @RickSchreder You are correct haha. I kinda failed in this video. I can play it much better. Thanks though dude.

  • @MegaGuitarman22 No worries - this video is definitely contributing to my ever growing lust for this sweet guitar

  • @RickSchreder it's an amazing axe man.

  • You did a great review! Definetly makes me strongly consider this guitar over some of the other schecters. Thanks man!!

  • @MrIbanezz1 no problem dude!

  • awesome review m8! was thinking of getting a c-1 custom for my birthday next year. just been thinking how versatile is it in different genres? and at what genres it really shines at and what not?

  • @lolletroo thanks man. it is probably the most versatile guitar i have ever played. i mean it. I play all types of music. I play jazz, blues, rock, grunge, punk, and metal. it shines everywhere dude. no joke. go play one sometime and see for yourself. you'll love it.

  • @MegaGuitarman22 alright g2g check out if the local music store has one to test. thx for the quick reply m8 (Y). keep up the good work

  • @lolletroo glad to help dude.

  • You got the pickups backwards. The Custom Custom is in the bridge. 59 in the neck.

  • @karlhouseknecht yeah i know hahaha thanks man.

  • @MegaGuitarman22 : No problem. I'm looking at this very guitar. Have the Solo-6 Custom, which has the same pickups, and love it. Such quality. That blue looks stunning in the video. I'm torn between that and the red.

  • @karlhouseknecht Yeah the pickups are great man. I am getting a Schecter Damien Elite Solo 6 for Christmas in Black Cherry (Crimson Red). I think the blue and the red look great on the C-1 Custom, but I got blue not only because its my favorite color, but because you don't really see blue guitars a lot.

  • @MegaGuitarman22 It's settled then, I'm getting the blue. Thanks!

  • @karlhouseknecht NICE!!!! No problem dude.

  • just ordered this sexy beast .. same color and all.... cant wait

  • @XDKevinAndrewXD nice dude. you will love it. it's such a great guitar.

  • @MegaGuitarman22 ... got it and i flipin love it ha it sounds amazingg

  • @XDKevinAndrewXD NICE DUDE! congrats on your new axe!

  • niiiiicee

  • @XxSGxMAYNExX thanks man.
