Love your Vlogs!! Im just starting to CD..and youtube for that matter! Im a lrgfammom to 6...and just starting to CD our 4 mo old girl Miss Sophie! Thanks love for all your info!
Ok thanks! I was thinking of doing just that...using gDiapers (the cloth option, not disposable option) as I transition to CDing. Funds are limited so I can't afford to instantly spend lots of $ on a ton of CD :( I also noticed that you said only some diaper rash creams are ok with CD. Is the original A&D ok? Its the only stuff that works on my son's bum when he has a rash. And is Tide Free & Clear a good detergent or should I get a different one?
@MrJGsMama Tide Free and Clear is okay for cloth =) There are better ones, but use it and see if it works for you. As for rash creams, A&D is definitely not cloth diaper safe. Anything with zinc oxide or fish oil is not okay, and will likely cause your diapers to stink or repel. Have you tried any cloth-diaper safe creams? Grandma El's, CJs BUTTer etc. If you're going to use a not cloth diaper safe cream, you'll need to use a liner to protect the diaper.
I am so glad to come across your vlogs about cloth diapering! I have an 8 month old son and would like to switch to cloth diapers, but know nothing. This has definitely given me some info. When I have more time, I'll check out more of your vlog! I'm going to definitely check out a CD trial too. What do you think of hyrbids???
@MrJGsMama Personally, I don't like using them..but I can definitely see the appeal. I know a lot of moms who used them at first, as a gradual transition into full-on cloth =)
OMG~ That's so funny when you said depending on your knowledge and age that's what you may think of when you think about cloth diapering. That is *SO* what I used to think cloth diapering was... until I saw a FuzziBunz diaper in a baby shop a few months ago. Seriously, I had *no* idea what the heck it was... until I went home and researched cloth diapering. Now I'm interested~
This is most definitely the BEST beginner video I've EVER seen! :0)
I've heard horror stories about the bump, but decided to get on anyways. It wasn't the cloth board, but I'm honestly scared to get on there again and can't figure out how to completely delete my account.
cloth diapers are what got me started watching yt videos! (got sick of reading stuff and started watching videos instead.) great video! you should do a video on washing diapers for those that have to use coin operated machines in an apartment or laundromat. i have such a hard time finding info on that topic!
