I think this is so sad that people still feel this way. I am born and raised in the USA. My friend from TX calls me "That damn Yankee" maybe it is my accent or maybe it's because I was born in MA. My family came from Puerto Rico. I was raised by them to respect all. To be proud of my spanish routes and to be proud of my birth country. My family has worked hard to get ahead and they have.

I have issues with this. First of all, I respect culture, and appreciate that many diffrent cultures melt into the ONE UNITED AMERICAN CULTURE. However, The official language of the US is English. I feel that if you are coming to the US, you should at least learn to sing our Anthem and conduct bussiness in English.
Secondly, adding the rap to the end and treating our anthem as a pop song is very disrespectful, seeing as this is our anthem, and deserves more respect than a pop song.

there are no corporate owners in mexico's oil industry. Pemex (Mexico's State owned oil conglomorate) is run wholly by the government. they also have a massive tourism industry, and an agricultural basin that is larger than our own. we have a lot of poor here too. just look at new orleans and most of the south for that reason. is new orleans the standard of living here in the usa? Monterrey Mexico has one of the highest GDPs as a city on the continent. have you been to mexico?

This is actually a remix, the original had no rap.
And there have been several pop versions of the national anthem!
Also, this isn't the first time it's been translated. In 1861, a German version came out, and there's a Yiddish version too.
Almost everyone singing the song is a naturalized citizen or Puerto Rican.
Lastly, this version is just as passionate, just as patriotic, just as American as the English one, so I really don't see the problem with it.

I have issues with this. First of all, I respect culture, and appreciate that many diffrent cultures melt into the ONE UNITED AMERICAN CULTURE. However, The official language of the US is English. I feel that if you are coming to the US, you should at least learn to sing our Anthem and conduct bussiness in English.
Secondly, adding the rap to the end and treating our anthem as a pop song is very disrespectful, seeing as this is our anthem, and deserves more respect than a pop song.
