  • This has always been one of my favorite 1 hit wonder songs- something just quirky about it- kinda like pop-pavement

  • awesome man...

  • love this song. <3

  • So that's the video...I could never find it XD

  • This is "bad" 90's music, not good. Good 90's music was real rock bands like STP and Alice in Chains, etc...

  • Back right before music turned into something other than music. I miss this kind of music on the radio, every week a new artist or song that you looked forward to...going up to Best Buy to buy new CDs for $12.99.

    God, those were the days!

  • ah, buzzworthy. a term from a time when mtv actually played music. and sadly, a term that kids these days will never be exposed to.

  • @fauxpromises Third Eye Blind was much more 90's. They were more ya know, post Nirvana. But I categorize them more in the Good Charlotte category-that is to say, more boy bandish than anything.

  • @MrBRENNON2132 Wrong. Nickleback has always sucked. Same with linkin Park. They aren't 90's bands at all. 90's bands are Nirrvana, Sublime, Primus, etc. Even Metallica wasn't really a 90's band....they were from the 80's. Please get your information correct before trolling.

  • @DeathBySexy24 Does Third Eye Blind count? I was in elementary school in the 90s, I'm trying to remember the music I remember hearing...

  • @DeathBySexy24 Thank you, to even call Nickelback good and compare it to real 90's bands is a crime.

  • shadowleggy xD

  • @XTheHoaxMasterX Yes! That's where I first heard this song! And then I realized my mom had it, and I was ecstatic.

  • i love this song xx i got it as a demo song on my mp3 lol xx

  • your mind is lined with layers of lead. have you heard one thing that i said? <3<3]

  • great song! i heard it on the radio today for the first time in years... brings me back to my high school days

  • Is the front man extremely sexy, or is that just me? >.>

  • the 90s fucking rocked.

  • I am downloading right now all those awesome 90s alternatives songs! oh i miss them

  • is that Guy Fieri from Guys big bite on drums?

  • people seriously need to stop talking about Justin Biebers penis. WTH is wrong with you?

  • 16 people stroked biebers baby dick 9 times

  • Wow! One of the forgotten songs of the era! Another group from the 90's that came and went too soon!

  • This video was just added to a music playlist at JustPlay.fm

  • This video was just added to a music playlist at JustPlay.fm

  • whatever happened to these guys?

  • @reszzz...Thanks dude for posting this video...Peace

  • "But it's less than I planned," damn that's a great line of lyrics.

It grows every time fags touch it!

  • i think im gona bash his head in

  • i feel so old listenin too dis i love dis song

  • i tried doin this song with my band, but the timing is so weird we screwed up badly, thats why when you do do it right it sounds so good

  • 13 people are just, fuquing stupid.

  • don't you hate it when girls break through your window and steal all your furniture?

  • @rokdowg flash mob of niggers especially.

  • @rokdowg Happens to me twice a week. Pisses me off

  • @rokdowg happens way too much we should do something about it :p good song from back in the day

  • january 1, 2000

was the start of the age of decent music

    before that, was just.. magic.

  • 13 DISLIKES are Little Black Backpack

  • Terrible People are a modern rock band influenced by Stroke 9, check out their new single Bill Murray.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE this song! And this video seems to move with the song

  • 2001 marked the beginning of the new world order. Part of the agenda is to destroy culture and art....hence today's shitty music.

  • @TheTruthoverlies ur comment is interesting

  • This came when i bough my MP3 player...Thank you sandisk

  • @greenlantern961 haha. so true!

  • @greenlantern961 lol. Mine came with the same thing, this with the major and the minor were my faveorites

  • @TheLjboy1999 Aw man i love that song!

  • You talking about the Sacramento ska band Piebald? I totally forgot about them. lol.

  • Catchiest song of all time...i love some Stroke 9 no way they shouldn't have been bigger, California is one the most well written songs there is..

  • just a really damn good track...

saw these cats open for 3EB back in the day...

  • Stroke 9 was more than a band. It was a stroke of genius. There is no equal to this band. They are unparalled in their genius. Their mastery of the subtletlies of melody and structure put shivers down my spine. When they wrote about the little back backpack, I truly grasped the commentary on the modern American man. I wish I could remove my ears so that this was the last thing I'd ever hear. Where is my reunion tour??

THIS IS WHAT THE AMERICAN DREAM IS ALL ABOUT!!!!

  • @thisisforyourob I didn't think anyone else shared my passion for Stroke Nine. Are you into Piebald? I saw them open for Stroke like, 15 years ago! That was a badass ahow, as you can probably imagine.

  • One of the most under rated band of all time! Seriously miss this era of music.

  • Most under rated bands of all time! Miss this era of music.

  • @ChrisFlipsAlot People who think music died after the 90's just quit listening to good music. There's plenty out there, including lots of the bands from the 90's and earlier.

  • @ApathySidecar lol it was a joke of course theres still good music, things have certainly changed a lot though.

  • @ApathySidecar Music died in 2003. I know. I watched fergie murder it myself. In the kitchen with a butcher knife. Seriously though, 1990-2003 to 2003 you did not have to hunt through mounds of trash to find enjoyable music. You were flooded with it. I guess we just took it for granted back then. Oh if we only knew then what we know now... we'd go back to the 80s and kill lady gaga's parents

  • @Offended83Shadow You couldn't possibly be more truth than that! Amen, man! It's tragic Miley Cyrus and fuckin Beiber sell out shows at 85 a pop, and I see Better Than Ezra charge 20 and only ten people show up. Bis said it best in "Eurodisco,": "A style is named and it's dead/There is no latest trend/I eat just what I'm fed, and I'm eating."

  • @Offended83Shadow I think that's more indicative of what the masses want and what big record companies are selling, not music as a whole. Local scenes have exploded that didn't exist before, internet exposure has made being a independent band/artist a totally viable option, and tons of new artist are exploring ideas that are wildly revolutionary as well as improving on old ones. Those who have abandoned radio and television to explore music on their own are well off as listeners.

  • @Offended83Shadow That said, while music as a whole is getting better, imo, there is also significantly shittier, or at least more heartless and over-produced waste out there. I don't think you necessarily have to hunt through it, you can just avoid it entirely. But it is amazing what studios have done in that respect. I actually think Justin Bieber was a talented kid who could sing and was still into Soul music, which was dying. Look what happened because record execs could make money..

  • I think that there is still good music/bands today, but the difference is that we have to find them, back then they would get more oportunities to be on the radio and tv.

  • @ChrisFlipsAlot Yeah, man. But then MTV turned to crap!

  • It's a cool song, but what an awful video....

  • thumbs up if leggy sent you here! :D

  • 11 people listen Rebecca Black and Justin Bieber

  • @alissondownload shut up

  • @daredevil49937 So you're 12th? Force me shut...

  • 1990's rock through 2005 was the best rock music ever! Now its mixed with stupid modern pop music. I am obsessed with old rock. I stick with this kinda rock, love stroke 9.

  • upsmack ftw

  • Born in 1990 and "One Time" was my first Stroke 9 song followed by "Kick Some Ass." Been hooked on Nasty Little Thoughts and Rip It Off ever since. Love this band with a passion.

  • born 1990. Best music generation

  • Love this!!!!

  • @ChrisFlipsAlot

Ignorance at its highest degree, musically.

If you learned how to find music, you might mature.

  • @Pantsbandit HHAAHAHHA! You don't know a damn thing about me! Twas a little thing called humor! Lighten up bud. LOLOLOLOL!

  • @ChrisFlipsAlot

    kaykay

  • Thank You!!! Sansa for showing me this band

  • what the hell is this song about?

  • @mboxfan1226 your an idiot, listen to the lyrics

  • @out2of2this2world WELL THIS IDIOT IS GONNA CHOKESLAM YOU!!!!!! GGGRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

  • This song was really popular when i was in high school. Every kid in school had a black backpack. This song blair out of Walkmans. I even mad sure it was played on the PA System.

  • love this song

  • I was born in 1981 and this was the music of my high school years. I miss the 90s! Ever since the year 2000 ended, music just hasn't been the same. While I was cleaning my basement today, I came across a case with about 50 of my favorite CDs from my teen years. Stroke 9 was in there. Feeling so nostalgic right now.

  • @ChrisFlipsAlot I agree. You are a wise person.

  • i never knew such an AWESOME song exsisted! i just found out about this song when i bought my mp3 player, and it came preloaded with this song. lol. i apparently didn't know that an ipod exsisted cause i bought an mp3 player. lol j/k

  • Clever lyrics!

  • MISS THIS ERA OF MUSIC. THE WHOLE POST DEPRESSION GRUNGE MUSIC SCENE WAS THE TITS! THE FUN, ROCKIN' PUNK/POP/ROCK OF EVE 6, LIT, STROKE 9, AMERICAN HI-FI, SPACE MONKEYS, SR-71, FENIX TX!!! TODAYS MUSIC IS TRULY IN NEED OF A REBOOT!! ~N

  • @NICKACHUNJ

Haha, My God man, every one of those bands are in my top 20... :D

  • @NICKACHUNJ: And not to forget Sum 41.

  • @NICKACHUNJ Don't forget Harvey Danger....

  • @NICKACHUNJ I wish people would be more specific when they post these things, music after 2000 is still good, popular music is however shit, there a still a lot of bands that don't suck ass that arn't being recognised.

  • and thanks to the internet you can still go highlight your hair and get as much pop punk as you want.

  • @NICKACHUNJ I agree with you to an extent. This music was and still is the shit. But its pointless to say that today's music needs a reboot. The people of the 80's hated our 90's music. People of the 70's hated the 80's. The people who are really in to todays music dont understand the 90's music. Its generational and that's how it will always be. Now...off to some american hi-fi!

  • @NICKACHUNJ

yes.. love late '90s alternative rock! Third Eye Blind, Wheatus, Fastball, Dexter Freebish, Blink 182, Cardigans, Rentals, Ash, etc etc

  • wtf......this video makes no sense

  • @Azukari06 90's music videos didn't and don't have to. The purpose of music videos back in the day really was for aesthetic purposes only.

  • Born in 1992, man, wish nothing had changed, none of this lady gaga and kesha garbage. Anyone remember when MTV was actually worth watching?

  • I saw these guys perform in September of 2001 at Bayfest in Mobile, AL. These guys sucked live. Good studio group, not so much live.

  • born in 1997!

  • @daredevil49937 sorry you don't count. you have to actually remember the 90's. not just be born during them. I'm sorry to have to be the one to tell you. Unless you were listening to music between the ages of 1 and 3.

  • I remember those Buzzworthy logos from back when MTV played music.

  • born in 1993. Basically the day I turned 7 (early 2000) the world came to an end. This is how music should be!

  • 1995, 5 years in the 90's

  • I was born in 1998 fml XD

  • @nofameatall Hehe. Hey, don't worry, you don't have to get trapped in the "everything sucks" trap. Speaking of, you should check out the song by that title by Reel Big Fish. ;-)

  • @givinluv Reel big Fish was one of the oddest shows i have ever seen... not saying thats a bad thing though lol

  • man... i wish i had been born before 1998..... MISSED OUT ON SO MUCH! :(

  • I love the 90's! I actually saw Stroke 9 live once.

  • only in 1990s for about 4 yrs

  • Born in 1985. My whole childhood was in the 90s. Proud to say I grew up in the 90s!

  • @Valor85 me too :-)

  • @Valor85 Born in 1983, can also say Im proud to have spent my adolescence in the 90s

  • @Valor85 Ahhhhh...the 90's. Great memories!

  • @Valor85 Actually the first 5 years of your childhood was in the 80's.

  • @Valor85 you're very lucky

  • @Valor85

Born in 92. Grew up in the late 90's, and I HATE TODAY'S MUSIC!!!

If only I were born before the 70's...

  • @Valor85 Born in 1986 here and I was thinking about 90's music and how much I miss alot of the artists from the 90's. Sadly, they are rejected by teens today because of the music that is being marketed to teens nowadays. :(

  • @Valor85 LUCKY! I was born in 93...not bad for me :D I feel sorry for anyone who never experienced 1 iota of the 90s

  • i miss the 90s, it was the best decade ever

  • i miss the 90s, i was the best decade ever

  • It played in chicago.

  • One of the best songs ever written.

Why is this never played on the radio?!

  • @yoruketseki I just heard it on the radio like 20 minutes ago lol.

  • @corr14 Wow, really? I've never heard it on the radio. What area do you live in?

  • @yoruketseki Philly. They play it on 104.5 pretty often, but I never hear it anywhere else.

  • @corr14 Ah, I've never heard it in Los Angeles or Washington DC. I wonder what other songs you guys get that we don't. Haha.

  • @yoruketseki Ha yea but we still get the same 30 songs played over and over again. I guess this song was just one of them.

  • I love this song but MAN what a lame video. I know they prob didn't have a lot of money but a real idea is almost free.

  • It was cool meeting the band... I was aboard the USS Carl Vinson CVN 70... I walked around with them, bullshitted n showed them a few things on the flight deck... was cool to see dudes with civilian clothes for a change... I rember the lead singer guy was rockin chucks n I was hella hatin lol...
