Kimimaro didn't die of too much Chakra, he died of the exact opposite: Chakra deficiency. The bones he created caused him to consume chakra at an above-normal rate, for he recreated the bones he used to fight with. In essence, he died via calcium deficiency. The last dance he used(the one with all the bones sprouting from the ground) was his inevitable death. If he didn't rush it like he so foolishly did, he would have lived, and won.

well what i dont get is why he didn't finish naruto with the sawaribi no mai. at that point in the fight his body would have been able to handle it's strain and he would have been able to get sasuke back to oro. well it was his first fight in a wile so i gess he wanted it to be fun. and after sasuke broke free from the coffin, kimi could have went all out on lee and made it back to the sound orginazition base to die in pice. all in all good vid.
