I don't think our government cares what the people think. They ship our jobs overseas, crush our unions, deregulate all our industry. This causes alot of problems. Our government focuses on hegemony and control of wealth, and that is it. And not for the majority of Americans, but for the elite. It's too much to get into, but I have to say... Most Americans are just trying to pay their bills. Even now, I am just on break for work. Maybe things will change one day.

Well, it's difficult for me to say. I mean, I don't know the experience or the ethnic background of the Americans you spoke to. I live in Arkansas, in the Southern United States. Most people have very little understanding of Serbia, or Albania for that matter. They probally couldn't tell you who we're supporting. Those few Americans who do know about the Serbs and Albanians really only know about them through the conflict in the '90s.
@conteVlaGa And even then, their understanding is purely through the lense of the narrative provided to them by the Clinton administration. That doesn't mean everyone agrees with it. There are quite a few Americans that do understand the conflict and support the Serbs. I think some Americans see Serbian comments about America on YouTube and then jump to conclusions. They get defensive and immediately go on the offensive. Of course, that's wrong.
@conteVlaGa Though, I can promise you this. If you were to come to the Southern United States (probally anywhere in the United States, actually) and visit, you'd be treated well. I don't think anyone here holds anything against Serbia, (why should they). But Americans need to pay much more attention to our foreign policy because the government is doing alot of things in their name that I don't think they'd really want if they were to pay attention to it.
@conteVlaGa As I said, I think most Americans view life on a smaller scale than what's going on internationally. Their scope probally doesn't go passed what's going on in their own town, for most. This is obviously a problem, and you're feeling the effects. I think for most Americans, education is key on foreign relations, and it'd help to fix the issues. But there are two ways to go about education. A long term study and analysis of what is going on, or education through retaliation.

Yes, you're right. I think any Americans committed war crimes should be prosecuted fully. It's a crime against the Serbian people, and a stain on the America's reputation. I don't think our government cares what the people think. They ship our jobs overseas, crush our unions, deregulate all our industry. This causes alot of problems. Our government focuses on hegemony and control of wealth, and that is it. And not for the majority of Americans, but for the elite. It's too much to get into, but I have to say... Most Americans are just trying to pay their bills. Even now, I am just on break for work. Maybe things will change one day.

Well, it's difficult for me to say. I mean, I don't know the experience or the ethnic background of the Americans you spoke to. I live in Arkansas, in the Southern United States. Most people have very little understanding of Serbia, or Albania for that matter. They probally couldn't tell you who we're supporting. Those few Americans who do know about the Serbs and Albanians really only know about them through the conflict in the '90s.

There are quite a few Americans that do understand the conflict and support the Serbs. I think some Americans see Serbian comments about America on YouTube and then jump to conclusions. They get defensive and immediately go on the offensive. Of course, that's wrong.

I don't think anyone here holds anything against Serbia, (why should they). @conteVlaGa As I said, I think most Americans view life on a smaller scale than what's going on internationally. Their scope probally doesn't go passed what's going on in their own town, for most. This is obviously a problem, and you're feeling the effects. I think for most Americans, education is key on foreign relations, and it'd help to fix the issues. But there are two ways to go about education. A long term study and analysis of what is going on, or education through retaliation.

Jecaaa94 Ja sam Srbin, ali nismo mi jedini pod Turskom vlascu bili. Mi smo bili pod Turcima oko 450 godina, Hrvati su manje, a Makedonci su skoro 500 godina bili pod njima. Ne kazem da nismo propatili, mislim da smo najvise propatili ali nismo jedini koji su patili. A Boshnjaci? Oni su nastali tako shto su njihovi preci(Srbi) se poturcili da bi imali sta da pojedu.

Mi ih spasavali i ginuli za njih. Zaboravili su sta smo ucinili za njih i kako smo ih zaduzili... Njih smo spasili a njihova deca su nas proglasili zloncincima i da smo koje kakve zivotinje... Samo nekoliko decenija je proslo rasparcali su nam drzavu, bombardovali nas i tako pobili ko zna koliko ljudi. Mozda cak i nekoga ko je spasao njihove oceve. A da smo znali da ce tako da bude da li bi smo sve opet isto uradili !? Pa naravno jer mi nismo zlocinci i zivotinje! Ameriko stidi se!
