  • good

  • not bad.... awesome amazing wow

  • Thats good technique

  • i like.

  • As an experienced director / cinematographer with 6 full length features under my belt, there's one thing people tend to forget about making a picture. Location! A location can give a movie either low production value or high production value. My movies looks as good as studio movies but I never spent a fraction of what they spend because of my Locations, nice camera, good acting and good post production. Always use nice locations, it helps trust me!

  • Can I please see behind the scenes?

  • breakin the 360 rule without stoppin on the line... caught ya hahahaha... really cool shots

  • on 2:38 you can clearly see one of the camera men lol

  • very nice...you got some mad skills bro!

  • That train was so high it made my fuckin' ass dizzy just watching it.

  • nice trick.

  • Should not be cheating audiences in verite documentaries. Seems to be using a Fig Rig type mount which has been around and used for years so also don't know why the longer shots are hyped as groundbreaking.

  • Is strange as understand shots such as through the car (must have has someone hidden in the back seats to pass the camera to and the supposed real characters preeped and practiced) can be cool shots in a drama but as with Position Among The Stars lots of the shots feel very, very set up and contrived while passing the film off as verite.

  • increadable sounds track...

  • how did you do that in the car ?????????????? u went from outside n then in n then ouside in a sinle shot ahah how ??????????

  • Great Video and Great Shots.

  • I'm afraid of heights and this video did not help. Very good.

  • This video made me really nervous. OMG. Like There is no way I would do this!

  • That made me nervous :S

  • @ 1:53 How did the camera go from outside car, then into front seat then back then out other side?! Thats amazing!

  • @donbear1983 Merlin steadycam.

  • Eartquake!!!!! just imagine what could had happen lol!

  • Secret behind the shot starting from 1:57 to 2:39- It required three cameraman to do the job. First cameraman cary a steadicam move forward towards the passenger side, next the passenger himself takeover the steadicam through the open window and move it towards the driver while gently handed over the steadicam to another cameraman hiding on the back seat . The cameraman on the backseat take the shot from behind and passes the steadicam to the first cameraman who is waiting outside the car.

  • @ramanjogi I already thought it must have been something like that.... GREAT shot!

  • How did you get that kind of shots on the rails? Do you use craters.. some steadycam???

  • Does anyone know where you can buy a Steadywing? I know they offer it on the site but it doesn't seem current. Any other suggestions? How much does it cost?

  • Comment removed

  • @SerfCitySJ @SerfCitySJ drop them a mail: Willem Doevendans is still offering it: I just bought mine: am going to pick it up next week, but Willem ships too. 400 euros ex shipping

  • that was nice and very smooth editing, it look like only oneshoot. . amazing

  • That's really scary.... I'm afraid of heights...

  • The train bridge shots were insane.

  • last shot is a boom arm with a swivel head , probably remote control, the arm goes out and the head swivels back in on its self , very nice!

  • look at 2:37. there is one guy of the steadyteam in the shot behind the car i think. maybe he forgot to go away... :)

  • yh your right lol

  • Back from my google searchery...

The camera is called SteadyWing, like a handheld handlebar with a camera stuck in the middle..

Dont know how the car shot was accomplished though, innovation I suppose!

  • What but Where but How but.. How the frick did that happen?

I assume this is not a silver flying camera ball, nor people passing the camera around (not with that stability), there must be then some weird voodoo going on here!

Now just hang on a minute!!

Please tell us the method as this is phenominal work , is it a little flying camera man?

    Googling right now-

  • it's a fly cam i think ..

  • how did you made the car shot? its amazing

  • yea lol?

  • i would think the original camera man handed it off to the person inside, they handed it to someone crouched down in the back, and he handed it to another guy outside the car

  • exactamondo!!

  • I bet it was on a wire, rail, or some kind of pulley then.

I still don't know what this video is trying to demonstrate...many films are shot with just one camera.

  • Where is this bridge and how is it called?

  • So, what happened to the guy on the trestle? Did he jump to avoid the train? lol! : )

  • What's the technique? A jib on a dolly?

  • kei leuk maar wel jammer dat er geen geluid onder zit

  • WHERE IS THIS BRIDE???

  • That is really cool. Scaring the sh#t out of me though. Great Shots.

  • wow,, how did u do that?

  • What if a train came while you were up there? What would you do? Jump off?

  • Hey very niceeeeee. Can you explain it to me in detail how each shot was taken? What equipment did you guys use?

  • I love the simple innovation of other film makers. Very lovely. Just a suggestion, listen to music while you watch this, it's even more beautiful. :)

  • cool

  • I lovedededed it

  • The car sequence was awsome.. how was it done?

  • hey i realized there is a kid in the back seat.

than hands it out the other side after the first cameraman runs around. ! :D

  • yeah thats the trick!!!!!!!! correct my friend

  • and no head rest for the front passenger.

  • this video is pretty damn cool. if you want the best film making equipment check out the cinemagadgets site.

  • The camera operator was behind the car crouching, you can see him at the end of the sequence.

  • Steadywing - dot - com.

  • Wokeyyyyyy wen i saw the car shot....... it took me awhile to sink in..... super amazing!

  • that car shot was amzong but know i know how to do it myself!

  • oh, i see now... the kid in the car helped out. no longer THAT impressive, but still cool.

  • I would say 2 people helped out. The guy on the passenger's seat and someone in the back that takes the camera and passe it back to someone else outside. Nice!!!

  • the car shot was spectacular! how and the heck....????

  • That's awesome I love the shot with the car how the camera goes in and out of it.

  • Here I found the link to see how they do this. I very easy after you see it...

But the scene on the bridge really was dangerous

    go on singleshotcinema(dot)com

    and click on steadywings

    replace the (dot) by .

  • i did not hear anything was that supposed to happen

  • becareful ...

  • Yeah! i had to rewatch it because the first time i was worried they were going to fall in!

  • 2:38 Who and what was that kid doing in the back of that car? A CLUE mr.Cluesou

  • dude, he's crazy. he's walking on a train rail with a sandle like freaken thousand feet above the ground

  • superb!!

  • So I doubt anyone cares but I had my iTunes on random and Sunday Bloody Sunday came on right when I started this video, it was uncanny how well it matched the dude walking on the tracks...although I'm sure any song with the right beat would work

  • Really cool

  • great editing!

  • two variations: 1st. someone onther was siting in da car and than he pass the camera. 2nd they were riding slow and he had only hads inside the car but i think the first variation is more easier and possible

  • ya right.. ;-) first is the right one.. they pas thrue the cam..

  • hoe the hell did you do that car shot in and out the car Amazing

  • the car shot was really crazy!

    nice one.

  • Love what you did. How did you do it? Amazing! Is it a home-made crane? I was very impressed>

  • Where can I find some information on this camera technique? I have been trying to figure how this has been really done for a couple of years now.

    Very well done!

  • impressive!
