Actually I do care. Kokesh got into trouble for protesting in order to directly charge the attorney general of the US with crimes. When the USMC asked him to stop and warned him of the consequences, Kokesh replied by telling the USMC leaders to do something to themselves which is anatomically impossible. He was given a general discharge under honorable conditions, and trust me, that is a light hit for saying that kind of thing to Marine officers.
Actually, it is evident to me you know little of military discharge procedure. Members are not entitled to an honorable discharge. You have to earn it, and that extends to your last day in uniform. Any misconduct, including lipping off to superiors, is fair game for discipline.

Actually I do care. Kokesh got into trouble for protesting in order to directly charge the attorney general of the US with crimes. When the USMC asked him to stop and warned him of the consequences, Kokesh replied by telling the USMC leaders to do something to themselves which is anatomically impossible. He was given a general discharge under honorable conditions, and trust me, that is a light hit for saying that kind of thing to Marine officers.

Actually, it is evident to me you know little of military discharge procedure. Members are not entitled to an honorable discharge. You have to earn it, and that extends to your last day in uniform. Any misconduct, including lipping off to superiors, is fair game for discipline.

Probably. I've spent several years in executive officer or command duties in the military. I certainly know you can't make valid claims to 'the whole thing' without some substantive citation. Both the Democrats and Republicans as well as President Bush authorized the war and the same political party (The Democrats) that made us lose Vietnam is the same party that will ultimately make America lose here. I think in some sense, communist dictatorships and any dictatorship (left or right) are pretty much the same thing. The only difference is that religious freedoms in Communist dictatorships are not allowed.

But Franco died in 1975, wasn't overthrown, and an elected govt. took over soon after. A key moment was in 73, when his #2 was killed in a car bombing. I happened to be a few blocks away, and the explosion was huge.

I wasn't even born when Vietnam war ended. But i was around when Soviet Union collapsed. And now Russia is practically a (relatively) peaceful and prosperous country.
And communism collapsed from within, given time perhaps the radical and violent strain of Islam would end up that way. And Iran would be a peaceful and prosperous country like the current Russia or China.

Again, many people are charged with crimes and convicted on circumstantial evidence in this country. People can be charged and convicted for planning or conspiring to commit a crime, even if they dont commit the crime. People can be charged and convicted from indirect or cicumstantial evidence that places the accused withthin the scope of the crime, if the evidence suggest that the accused has had a conspiritorial connection to the actial crime itself.

Your prior point was not very clear. Try to make your point clearer in the future if you want to make yourself heard. Their activities, at VOTEVETS, may be considered treasonous to some, but, they dont fall within the letter of the law regarding treason. Treason is a very specific charge. I consider them to be unpatriotic to associate with George Soros.

Many troops will agree with Melanie Morgan, and many will not. But how could anyone be "immensely proud" of Melanie Morgan for her performance? She was grossly immature, rude, and childish. Go on, claim the specious "pro-troop" mantle, but soldiers deserve far more common courtesy. Grow up.

3) One question: if Nancy Pelosi is among those who are supposed to be the champions of America's troops, how come, when she was in Damascus sipping tea with Syria's dictator, she didn't take advantage of that trip to pop over to neighboring Iraq to pay a visit to the troops? Pelosi was one of 7 American lawmakers (including David Hobson R-OH)to participate in a 07 Mideast tour that included stops in Israel, Syria, the Palestinian territories, Lebanon, and Saudi Arabia she didn't have the time to vist any more locations before getting back to the States. She has previously visted our troops in Iraq and she intends to again.
BTW 3 GOP congressmen Frank Wolf, Joe Pitts and Robert Aderholt had met with with Syrian President Assad earlier that year.

1) "We *are* the troops"?!?! You get *one* general out of God knows how many dozens and that single general is supposed to speak for all generals! You get *one* soldier/veteran (or admittedly a couple of handfuls) out of hundreds of thousands and he is supposed to speak for *all* servicemen! And this is not arrogant?!

The most effective and powerful aspect of the show was Soltz's reponses that "We ARE the troops." At the end Ms. Morgan even managed a slightly puzzled face (I am not sure if it hurts the botox), and said "You keep on saying that like it is some sort of password". Was password the word she used? It was hard listening and painful to watch.
(p.s. I knew there was no way she wouldn't mention George Soros & his millions. HA! so predictable.)

Nice speach Melanie Morgan, but where are the facts that support your opinion? You talk about fighting and targeting people, but why and what for. We can't MoveAmericaForward untill we stop holding America back by ingnoring facts and the input of our military experts. The Iraq war is not a simple matter, and it is unfair to lable people that don't share your opinion, of blindly support Bush. Not Supporting the Troops.

The OCCUPATION fell apart when ABU-Ghraib abuses came out.
Now we are just sacrificing soldiers and their families for NOTHING... except war profiteers and oil companies.
We won the war and LOST THE OCCUPATION.

This will go down as one of the worst political and military decisions in US history. This war was pointless to begin with and continues to be nothing more than a HUGE waste of money, resources and more importantly....precious human life. People still don't know what this "war" is about and why we're continuing to "fight" it.
President Bush, even if you have even a molecule of MAN within you, you'll admit to your mistake in judgement and bring our troops home.
