My gradma told me that laos peoples the most peaeful and happy even though they have little. This is such a beautiful video and I'm crying.
I am so proud to be Laos and love my country. Our ancestor have been so many suffering and brutal by many country destroyed us. I always want to go back to Laos and help the childrens and poors.
Thank you so much for your compassion and love to my peoples. Buddha bless.
Thank you to the Worldvision May GOD be with you for ever and ever Please be in Laos alot more.We hope to see more and more organisation like you to be here again. But for more please praying for us .We wondering why you guy are so good and to nice to us and for us.There we have no doubt you must have always praying for us.We hope we can have the GOD who can answer to us like you GOD
Laos people are the greatest. Even in times where they have experienced the most brutal circumstances, they still find a way to smile. And yet, with all the betrayal, war and assimilation; they never find revenge or are cold-hearted. They believe that this was what life was meant to be like and they hope for a better day. I respect all Laos people
There is no hell. It's just made up to put fear into people to obide by laws & religious views. Read 'The Celestine Prophecy & The 10th Insight'. It is up to you to decide whether it's fiction or not. + in this reality, I know what the meaning to life is.
I appreciate very much this American activity. During the war, the Lao collaborated with Americans. After the war, only Laos kept American Embassy opened in VT. More bombs on Laos than anywhere, but the Lao forgot that for brighter future. At least 50 minorities live on this small land. Go and see shops of Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian, Thai. The Lao do not see Hmong shops as foreign. They should own more shops from north to south. Free Economic Activity = Freedom = Democracy (= Western Theory).
Very nice video. My grandbabies are 1/2 Lao and their other grandma has shared her story of escape. Heartbreaking and can not imagine enduring such saddness in a life. Anyhow, I really appreciate your videos and thank you for sharing. I hope to help my grandbabies learn and understand their culture.
anyways,, now lets get to the rumours about hmongs, im no xpert, i think all ethnics in laos should be treated equally with respect.
But what i read about how it all began was that hmongs helped u.s to fight the secret war and u.s bombed laos, even though all nations, AND U.S.A agreed that laos was neutral and to have no association with the conflict in vietnam.
3rd part- comment: - in other words,, the hmongs was laos ethnic group, and the U.S.A turned THEM against their own laos people, for whatever reason it may be, does not matter. Im trying to guess that the laos government thinks in this term. it is like one of their own family member trying to kill them.
And in asian society, when someone does u and your family harm..[there will be minimum standard of human rights, no compassion, no rules]
Laos people, generally almost all [no matter where they live],are social people, friendly, polite, intelligent and we rarely judge other ppl, and if we live in your country, we have good intentions to respect and abide by your laws and customs, EVEN if we dont like it!
Nobody should be talking bad about a certain race just because of what they've heard. Stop making it seem like Lao people are all evil hearted! Stop the predjudice! Like they say... if you don't like it then get the f*** out! Go help your people if you feel that strongly about it! Actions speak louder than words!
1REVIEW...you are stupid. It is not about talking bad about race or people, it is about facts and what communist cowards like the Laotion government has done to its people.
Let's just settle this already! Lao is a communist country... nobody's completely happy. It's all about class. Rich, Average, and the poor! It's not about Lao people or Hmong... honestly, if you don't like the country that much then get out of there or go help them yourself!
Beautiful video! Laos is full of beauty; the children...I tear seeing the weak education that's offered to them. But, they are working very hard to make it better for the future. I was born there...and have been in and out of Laos. It is always a joy to see that foreigner like myself is giving back to the children...they are the future of LAOS.
Hey, for the guys who seeing anything from internet, how much do you know about Laos? have you been there? for how long? so if you don't know the truth, don't try to say something to make it worst. no country is perfect, but nothing too bad like you said happened in Laos.
laos may seem beautiful here, but if you know what's going on out there in the jungle of laos it's not so beautiful. They are a filthy communist country who kills, raped, and tortured women and young girls. Don't let this country fool all of you of being beautiful, because behind this beauty there are killing secrets going on out there. Want more info go to youtube Hmong tortured and you'll see what I'm talking about. Thanks! much love and save your money& go elsewhere much beautiful.
Thanks for your response, I never claim to be cool nor did I ever judge the people. I just want to expose the ugly side of the government who kills people so secretly that nobody knows about it until the fact finding organization went to do a documentary about the Hmong being slain like animals.
Hi, I understand your pain... I want you to know that laos is not the only place that has this kind of war problem. Sometimes, I just wish there is world peace. Everytime, I happend to take a look at the video, I'm in tears and I can't stand watching it. I'm lao and my family and relatives gets tortured by the communist people too. These communist came out nowhere from the woods and scared us away, and thats how we end up in the U.S.
I thank you, for your understanding and I sympathizes with you and your family. I just wish that the Government would step up and do something to stop this tragic killings of the Hmong people and many others as well. I'm sure Laos is a beautiful country, but until this killing spree stops, we just can't keep giving them money and support them to kill. Well again thanks! and God bless you and your family with good health.
I wouldn't expect you to know or feel my pain, because you don't have family members living in a country wondering if today they're going to live or die for just trying to live. Oh, and before you judge me have you try to even search here on you tube of the Hmong being tortured and hunt down like animals?
I don't care what you do with your money or where you travel, but keep this in mind? By going there you'll just support the communist government with your money to kill lots more innocent women and children. If that's the case, then I don't know how you sleep at night.
I'm not trying to purposely bring a country down with false accusations, but at the same time I don't want you people to be so blinded by all this beauty that you can't seem to see the ugliness truth they don't want you people to know, see, or hear about it. Thanks! God Bless and I shall pray for world peace. Much love
what is up with you? not ALL laos people are like what you've just said! besides, i bet all the other countries are probably like this too! but you just dont know it!
i always come back for more of your VDO;) sometime i cry for the ppl that less chances to have food to eat safe place to live in...wishing for the best cooperation from our govt will take a look with this problem too not only focus on economy but all start with ppl in the country need better education in rural area.
It's a very slow growing country. There's still a lot to be done but at the same time I don't want the modern world to change it too much. I see how many countries lose their culture, heritage, history in the journey to become modernize. I've never been there myself but it's where my parents came from.
this VDO made remind me when i little girl i used to eat coconut with my family that was what enjoyed part of my family together sharing coconut and talking.
such a life- changing trip. Almost indescribable. To see such a different reality is eye- opening. I am so motivated. The people of Laos are so gentle, kind and welcoming. They deserve a chance and much support. The World Vision Australia 40 Hour Famine 2007 will support projects in Laos. Make a real change and DO THE FAMINE!

4th- comment:
WE DO NOT FORGIVE, and DO NOT FORGET, and REVENGE is always in the mind.. a concept many many white people do not accept or understand.
--THAT is what the government is doing,, trying to kill off the very last "TRAITOR" or sons and daughters of traitors, of the family.
When asians hate... IT IS WITH A PASSION.
BUT ANYWAYS....
