Instead of judging the man, why not enjoy the song? Look up the lyrics. Think about what he's saying through the music. The "maybe" lyric in the end does not dismiss the supernatural, but leaves it as a possibility. Really quite a beautiful song.

Discovering Vic's music was when I recognized that amazing music has to be sought after. At age 15, I remember Stipe mentioning him numerous times.
