@kwestak Yes Tomas. It's a metal rod, a tent stake. It's keeps the throttle wide open. It's held by a rubber band with some tension that pulls it to the left so at the flick of my thumb, it comes right off. The rubber band pulls it quickly to the side.
so you just hold the camera in your left hand while filming? very nice video! I used to think my vids were okay until I watched a few of yours. I was convinced that driving with one hand and video taping with the other was too dangerous so I stopped doing footage while actually riding. What do you think? Here's one of our clubs larger scoots (before I gave up one handed riding!) (had to post it as a video response)
Man, this is just awesome! I understand, I see, I get you! Can't wait till it's spring again to kickstart and buzz out for a long journey! Good man. Nice machine. Vespismo forever.
how did you do the 1:07? removing the right hand from the throttle while the left hand is holding the camera?????? ..at 70mph???WOW!!! you owe us a lot of explanation. LOL!!!
Hi Rex! I must say this video is one of my favorite ones.
One question though: what is that gray stick on your right handlebar - near the throttle? Is that a cruise control of some sort?
Thanks.

@TheLivingfood Thanks! My helmet is a modular with a built-in visor. It's the HJC IS-Max. It's similar to their SY-Max and SY-Max II models.

sweet! fun to watch it, I remember a lot of places there when I rode my burgman 400 to WA from TX last month. what camera did you use?
micbergsma 2 years ago
I used my Sony CX12. It's a small, palm-sized HD camera tethered to the handlebar by a neckstrap. Everything was done handheld ;)
