I bought two of these cards, one failed after a few months while running SLI, the other powered on for over a year until it too failed. I took the cover and heat sink off to find 3 clearly burnt out memory modules, and low and behold the three which had discolouration between them on the board, HAD NO HEAT TRANSFER MATERIAL ON THEM!!!! They didnt apply the thermal pads to all of the modules! Unbelievable! Yet, if you take it off YOU VOID YOUR WARRANTY! Why? BECAUSE THEY MAKE EM FAIL!

On his 2x 8800 ultra crysis benchmark testest i get my settings to the same i vista with 2x 9600GT's and a shitty intel e4500 2.2ghz overclocked to 3.22GHz with 3gb ram and i got around the same fps or maybe abit more. Does that mean my 9600GT overclocked is roughly as powerful as a 8800 ultra?

Nah, By itself, the 8800 Ultra is waaaay faster. But, the 9600GT's nearly double the FPS together, making it faster than two 880 Ultras. Why? SLI scales better on 9 series cards.

True, but it is still a very powerful card capable of running most modern games. It's pretty much equivalent to the current 8800GTS (G92) 512 version, which in turn is equivalent to the 9800GTX. Hell, the Ultra scales better at high resolutions compared to the 9800gtx due to its abundance of memory.
