from the '60s, Made in New Jersey or New York when good shit was coming out of the studio but no one would go see them live at the gate,birdland,5spot,basin st east but juvenile delinquents.[like me]
No need to worry, I feel like all this hot shit will come back full circle sooner than later. So appreciate jazz and enjoy feeling exclusive like a S-class benz owner appreciate the fact he got it while others don't.
Do you have the liner notes of this? I'd guess the trumpet player on this is Donald Byrd and not Lee Morgan (the thinner tone and the high register sound more like Byrd), and the pianist sounds to me more like Andrew Hill than Herbie (although it could be Herbie in his early years before Miles). But I could be wrong of course.
Thanks for posting this up! I'm going to be seeking some Mobley out on vinyl in a few days. I use YouTube to listen to as many full length songs as I can before I make a purchase. Anyway, you've helped increase my awareness of this man's music.

what impresses me, apart from the music itself of course, are the song titles themselves - so cool, so hip
