@KilerProductions well if you want to play cataclysm then you have to have burning crusade, linch king and then cataclysm. i dont think you need the expansion to just play normal wow though.

I am not sure if its universal but usually to play an expansion you generally require the preceding version as it usually contains the content each edition builds on so yah to play Cataclysm you need to get World of Warcraft, Burning Crusde and Wrath of the Lich King.
