Marty Balin was crushed by the loss of his good friend Janis Joplin, was not there at Winterland. Papa John gave an overlay on most songs, that Grace mimicked with her voice on the Baron Von Tollbooth album. Jorma and Jack would play blues in the hotel rooms, brought those songs out as Hot Tuna. Hot Tuna became a first act for the Airplane, then broke off on their own. Jorma played for Janis Joplin in his CA home making the typewriter tapes (1964).
I feel so much better for listening, nice upload w/ the sound too, thank you very much! This has been my all-time fav, grab it when nothing else works, grab it 'cos its awesome, music, ever since it came out. thank the goddesses and gods for what was the JA :-)

I'm glad I made it past the first verse. That solo was tasty. The song grew on me as it went.
