i have finally calibrated the throttle , when you install logitech g940 drivers, when the setup is finished and askes you to calibrate joystick and throttle , at the throttle calibration windows , hold both throttles with your hand at the 0 , make sure when clicking next , the throttle doesn't move up on the calibration window, next logitech throttle properties , click settings , Hysteresis... Left throttle i set it at 21 and Right Throttle at 21 , this worked for me great at FSX
it doesnt work for me on fsx, i set Null zone to 0 and Sensitivity at the highest , but the throttle when in airplane it stays at 10% or something like that, i have g940 too, and so far don't like it so much it needs a lot of configuration before flying a sim
@0ds01 Don't worry about it staying at 10%. That's a normal idle percentage on aircraft. The only way you will get to 0% throttle is if you turn the engines off. As long as you can get to 100% throttle, you should be ok.
i don't know i have tried a lot of things in fsx but i can not get it work properly , any time i taxi i have to hold both throttles with my hand at the end so my plane doesn't go any faster, thanks for the quick answer :)
@TheWowfreaken In FSX, go to settings, controls, select throttle, and adjust the null zones and sensitivity. PM me if you need more details, I'm not at my FSX computer right now, so I'm not exactly sure where everything is.
@TheWowfreaken For the throttle, Null zones should be at 0, and Sensitivity should be at its highest. It's like 128 or something like that. Don't use these settings for the rudder pedals or joystick though, they have different null zones and sensitivity.
I also have a throttle problem. Whenever I begin a free flight the throttles are at full power and I can't slow them down the plane usually then goes out of control and crashes can anyone help?
Do your lights change when you press the button on the throttle. Mine don't do that... I can't change the color of lights. And I have the same problem as you had... can you help me??? I use FS9
So what do you think of this G940 HOTAS and pedals with the newest firmware? Do you recommend it? Do you have that problem with the throttle output jumping around a bit when you reverse its direction?
@astrofly Personally, I strongly recommend this product to anyone who wants to bring their flying experience to the extreme. The G940 makes everything so much more realistic. I don't have the problem you brought up. The only problem I had and is now fixed is the one shown in the video.
@splashjump I did not do anything on the Logitech profiler. All I did was go into FSX controller settings and set sensitivity and null zone settings in FSX. I would reset everything you did in the profiler and go into the FSX settings.
Just on more thing: which sensitivity should I use? I have used 50, 100, 75 and 60. (60 worked best) But i'm playing Microsoft Flight Sim. X Gold Edition and i'm flying F-18, but on higher then 60, the throttle on the game go back to the start, and on 50 I don't get the afterburner on :(. Think you got a solution... :P
@splashjump On the throttle, I have no problem using full sensitivity and 0 null zone. I use the F-18 all the time on FSX and don't find any problems.
@splashjump I have the same problem. I contacted Logitech and they couldn't figure out how to fix it either. They said it might be my product and offered me another G940 but I didn't want to go through the trouble.
Ah, that problem existed on my Driving Force Pro. Its gas pedal had similar problem (cannot reach 100% and fluctuates.) I've managed to change axis setting to solve the problem. It worked for a short period but the fluctuation range varied by time. So, I had to adjust settings again again.... Finally, I took apart the pedal component and reinforced the variable resistor part with vinyl tape. It went quite good but why should a customer open the product after 6 months! I hope yours come out well.
now i've manage to get the throttle under control but this time the brake sign on the bottom left corner shows up even without me even pressing the brake
@rsambora101 I think to fix the brake, you put Sensitivity all the way up. I'm not sure about the null zone though...first try null zone at 20 and if that doesn't work, put it all the way down. Hope this helps.
hi there, just got my g940, i tried doing a quick test by using free flight mode(FS X), then when the cockpit view shows up, I push down the throttle to its maximum but it doesn't effect anything instead without me even pushing the throttle down from the beginning it increases the power itself so i had to decrease the throttle not using the throttle device. thanks, any sugestions?
How did you fixed that??? I have FS2004 and the same problem. At the beginning I hadn't, but know it´s more complicated. Can you post a video showing of how did you fixed that?
I had a problem like this but fixed it it is a sensitivity issue. My throttles when lined up and set to work tougher don't have equal power. Also full power for me is when the throttles are at 85% on my actual unit. Also I can't run multiple engines on a throttle thus limiting me to a 2 engine plane.
Using N1 90-95 is the best for take offs depending on payload. Low payload=90 and full payload=95. You should NEVER use full thottle as it can damage the engines.
@Iconic80 just go into your flight simulator settings, controls, and joystick i think. then from the drop down menu, select throttle. and somewhere on that screen, there is a sensitivity and null zone bar. you might have to select advance settings to see these bars. push the null zone bar to 20 and the sensitivity bar to full. it should work. tell me if you find any problems
when i move the throttle on fsx, in all planes, it only goes idle and full throttle. this means that wherever the throttle is in my hand, it does not effect the game. it goes only to the average, whether its close to full or idle :S. any advice?
Might fix: Put you're throttle to idle, and on the PC part of the throttle, try push you're throttles all the way to idle, it might, and might not work.
Problem might have started if you left a game, and came back with your throttle set to something near to idle, that might have messed something up. :S
I was an F-16 aircraft mechanic in the Air Force for seven years, so I know what I'm talking about. The reason the joystick shakes is because you're putting the aircraft into an overspeed situation. The hull of the aircraft is under a lot of stress and a lot of turbulance in being created in an overspeed situation.
@Phelt54 At full throttle the aircraft will also naturally climb, that is why the joystick pushes back. The aircraft is in the air and gravity is working against the engines efforts, so 100% engine speed might not be attainable while in flight.
@Phelt54 Full throttle on the ground should produce 100% engine speed, but once the weight is off the wheels and the craft is in flight gravity is working against the craft. The reson the engine speed doesn't drop to 30% in flight might be because the airspeed of the craft is helping the engine turbines spin at idle.
@WwTKVwW ok. first, go to settings in fsx. then, go to controls -> calibration -> advanced controls (also might be advanced settings) -> choose throttle from the drop-down menu -> set null zone to 0 -> set sensitivity to highest. it should fix it. if it doesn't tell me

YES. Its called SENSITIVITY and DEADZONE:
~IN FSX SETTINGS~
Put Dead zone at 0
Put sensitively at 100%
if that doesnt do it:
1) Change axis properties in the logitech profiler (settings, as in sensitivity)
2) There is a problem (unlikely)
tek5828 1 year ago
First of all just take a look at the "dead zone" and "sensibility" of your control configuration, probably the first is too high...

merkavas 2 years ago
There are still two major issues that Logitech to my knowledge HAS aknowledged...
1: Inaccurate/ insensitive analogues
Stick, Throttle and rotators only respond in descrete increments of 2-5... Meaning it's all but impossible to aquire a specific number like say "90%".
2: Loose/sloppy stick
The centre 25% of the stick does not have ANY "return-to-center"-force. Not with FFB, nor with the legacy spring-emulation"
If you have the ladder,(ie #2), problem do contact Logitech as soon as possible!
