I loved this video! It made my day! I'm still on the fence on getting the game. I'm already in Japan but I don't know if this game is region free to play on my US Xbox 360. Can anyone confirm that? I really like these new mechanics since it allows the game to end quicker in style. I mean it takes more skill to capitalize on opportunities and when you do, you win and feel good about it. Still, MVC3 is coming out soon too!

Your super gauge (called arcana gauge) starts small, but fills up quickly and gets bigger as time passes (kinda like my frustation with SF4)

actually I played Blazblue CS last night.

I don't know why but I am not feeling it like I did when the first one came out.

I still love Tekken the most.

But this Game I am actually look forward too, I hope it blows 1 out of the water.

Since 2 was a flop atleast on the PS2 poor,(so buggy and laggy).

I feel sorry for those who imported it.

looking forward to this too, been pracicitng AH2 Sugoi Rerelase version for a while now, great game

bythe way the Hud in Sugoi AH2 is mor enicer, but the graphics of AH3 obviously trample over the SAH2

and remember, only the ORIGINAL Arcana Heart 2 was bad

the RE-release called Sugoi! Arcana Heart 2 is amazing, its a near perfect port with a bunch of extras

@DanCiTi Animuuuuu game forums have been using it for years. The Japanese use it for EVERY game. Hang around in dustloop and you'll know it by heart easily.

It's really not a "barrier" as you seem to make of it.

Why do these games need to have the whole number system to represent directions? It is such a pointless barrier to entry.

@DanCiTi I agree. The number system is silly, especially when the games use the same common commands you'd see any other 2D fighter like in Capcom or SNK's games such as QCF, DP, HCB, etc.

Why are games like GG, AH, MB, BB, etc so special and require this new notation that nobody needed 10-15 years ago when the commands we been using to pull off moves haven't changed?

@AwYeahGurl Because the numbers are easier to understand by newer players, and more accurate. For example, someone wouldd say "down-forward" which could mean either the 3 direction OR pressing down then forward. While with the number 3 there's no confusion possible.

It's simply more accurate and easier to understand. And there's a 5 before 5A ect. because because 5 means neutral position, where in some inputs having the stick in neutral is a MUST or it won't come out properly.

@CrimsonDragon24 Funny, because ever new player I talked to had no idea what the numbers represent.

It's way easier just having the directionals in print right in front of you, like the official strategy guides have, and alot of community forums like SRK have directional emoicons users can use.

At the end of the day though, I'll take something like QCF+A over 236+A. Easier to type, and it's universally understood by 2D fighting game players from the Street Fighter 2 days.

the numbers are more accurate regardless and they're actually easier to type, you only find QCF easier because it's what you're already used to.

The numbers represent the direction on the joystick, look at the number pad on your keyboard, 2 is down, 8 is up, 7 is up/left etc.
