  • Isn't that just a pussy version of tidal power?

  • Babba-Booey! What? It's actually relevant this time! While I'm at it- Howard Stern's penis! lol

  • This idea and technology is way old

  • Hope he does not get suicided.

  • How on earth is this a news?

  • i love how they're trying to sell this piece of old news as new and how the conspiracy nuts are already trying to make this more interesting than what it really is(this story is boring, old and not interesting)

this energy resource sucks and gets a negative 5000 out of 10

  • not only old news but stupid thinking

  • Comment removed

  • Why they don't talk about E-cat or that NASA admits existence of Low energy nuclear reaction and working on it.

  • Just another wasteful, subsidized, inefficient idea that would never work if its not subsidized by taxpayers.

  • ARE YOU TRYING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED....here is what happens to people like this...

    watch?v=kGxXOIH7fv0

  • People will bitch about this stuff too, just like the dams, wind, solar, oil, hemp, natural gas, geothermal, and of course NUCLEAR.

  • There is an energy source all around us. Converting this random chaotic energy to something usable is not nearly as complicated as people might think.

  • outstanding news

  • Another crappy Green idea that will lead nowhere... wind, water and such energy sources are hundreds of thousands of times less efficient, more wasteful and take up more space than nuclear as it stands today. The only energy source known to man, that can truly support humanity as it is today and as it is becoming, without reverting to the dark ages, is nuclear or technologies derived from nuclear, hopefully more powerful and even less wasteful.

  • @MOXNEWSd0tCOM That maybe an answer for energy needs... but the video link after these two sentences is the future that will be held quiet for a long time. You will like this Moxy and I hope you share it. See /watch?v=rsuB-6-n-MM OR search "Justin Hall-tipping"

  • Wait wait wait , where is all the radiation ?? how are you gonna boil watter ??

unless we get DU outta the deal its a no go !!

  • World's most complicated and expensive... cell phone charger.

  • real energy... Nikolai Tesla... Stanley Meyers.

  • It's about time!

  • People will bitch about this stuff too, just like the dams, wind, solar, oil, hemp, natural gas, geothermal, and of course NUCLEAR.

  • Tesla's rolling in his grave

  • NO MORE SWIMMING AT THE BEACH BECAUSE WE NEED ENERGY!

THEY CAN STILL PUT A METER ON IT AND it will cost more to repair it

  • They did something like this in Japan if I'm not mistaken.......

  • This is an very inefficcient version of the"snake" wave catcher power generators used in large scale in denmark. and on a plus side the ones in denmark are under the surface with all the benefits that this brings.

  • Poor fella, R.I.P.

  • This is old news. A company from 1988 has a similar project powering homes in England. The company is called Wave power Technologies.

  • @TheDeathbycancer Yes but we are now in the New age of Environmentalism! The UN should love it!

  • Zero point energy is real, but this ain't it

  • @CheekyMonkey888 "Zero point energy is real" Care to explain the physics behind that?

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri You drive a car? You know how all its parts work together? No? Didn't think so. But you do know when your car is working. Well I know that when a system appears to break the laws of thermodynamics, there must be another energy source, as of yet not properly explained, at play.

  • @CheekyMonkey888 Actually, YES. I rebuilt my first motor in the 6th grade with a classmate. Now, explain to me the physics of "free" energy.

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri You know how all the parts in a modern car work? Even the myriad of on board computers and sensors? It takes dozens of engineers to know as much - usually. But in this case, I'll take your word for it that you're a genius. I, unfortunately, am not as gifted as you, but will trustingly point you to the work of a real genius, Nikolai Tesla.

  • " Could This Be The Source Of ZERO Emissions Clean Energy We've Been Looking For? "

    No.

  • This will probably catch on in Denmark or some shit. Not in USA, never.

  • This isn't really that new, there are countries that are already using this.

  • ...any development in the field of 'clean-energy' is doomed to fail at the hands of the Plutocracy...

  • Like JP Morgan said to Tesla, "If you can't put a meter on it, It's useless." I'm sure this guy will be suicided soon.

  • @sethzky77 What makes you think he couldn't put a "meter" on this?

  • @Gangularis could, but if he's developing free energy chances are, he wouldn't want to. Look up Nikola Tesla.

  • @sethzky77 He's not developing "free energy" Nothing in the video says he is. Don't tell me to look up Nikola Tesla. How about you first stop and actually examine what's before you in this video before referring me to unrelated, and completely vague persons that you find interesting. NOTHING in this video has a goddamned thing to do with Tesla.

  • @Gangularis well, if you can't see the connection, i guess your either blind or extremely ignorant. Don't bother responding. I'll leave it at that.

  • @sethzky77 There is no connection. Don't bother responding, unless you actually have an illustrative "connection". If you don't, then you really probably shouldn't open your mouth and pretend like you have an education about such things. I'll leave it at that.

  • @Gangularis So you want me to draw or "illustrate" a diagram of some sort for your stupid ass? Do you even know who Nikola Tesla is or how he contributed to modern society you stupid fuck? And Yes, I will leave it at that, except maybe the fact that you should take that fake diploma shaped dildo out of your dumb mouth and re inject it into your asshole for some zero point energy. Get a clue dumb ass. I'll leave it at that!

  • @sethzky77 The term "illustrative" doesn't inherently mean that you have to DRAW something, idiot. Are you incapable of illustrating something with words? Jesus Christ, you're aj moron. Conspiracy theorist R-tards like yourself like to link every goddamn thing to people like Nikola Tesla, even though you only have an incredibly vague scientific understanding of Tesla and what he was about. But you think you are truly enlightened because you watched some youtube videos, about him..

  • Ron Paul 2012

  • PUT SOLAR PANELS ON THE MOON AND MARS, YA BUDDY

  • "afordable"

  • Maybe they really will go with ocean power now that they year long nuke spewed into the ocean. Get a generation of techs retarded on metals poisoning, working on ocean nuked equipment like good brainless citizens of Rothschild world, work kills.

  • If it is, the govt won't be interested in it unless people can make profits from it.

  • man, optimism is skyrocketing.

  • And people who have too much money, Will complain about the lose of their "Beautiful ocean view". And congress will deny it funding.

  • this is old tech

  • This is old news and not terribly efficient because of power transmission losses. It might help a bit, but it's no solution.

  • @jawayetti With the advancements in Generators and an expansion in the application it could be. But lets see how Big oil will react to this tech. My question is buy out or bury(Literally)

  • @JRMCNEA No. You cannot break the laws of physics.

  • @jawayetti the "Laws of physics" are limited to man's knowledge of the system. And like a human knowledge it is based on majority rule. and no the Laws of physics can't be broken. But they can be easily bent. The one huge downside to our understanding of knowledge. A: We think electricity is the only viable source of energy. B: We have only released the technology that utilizes about 30% or it in out environment. Taking that 30% to 45 or even 50% would change the world drastically.

  • @JRMCNEA No, they are not. They are laws for a reason. You think a new discovery is going to suddenly change the way the universe works? That is preposterous at best. Jesus. Pick up a fucking science book. I'm not your teacher.

  • @jawayetti yeah i guess quantum physics is a sham right? We write laws that are limited to OUR understanding of the universe. There are still prominent structures in the universe that we don't have a complete grasp on. And it is only arrogance to assume a species that has not been past their planet's moon holds all the answers to the universe. Gravity still act in certain environments that we can't imitate or explain. We have a elementary understanding of Dark Matter. And much more

  • @JRMCNEA As near as I can tell, quantum physics is nothing more than buzzword bingo to you. Again...Let's start over: Pick up a damn science book.

  • @jawayetti Yeah exactly. Buzz word bingo. Granted in the begining of EVERY higher education Science class aside form biologists. The class starts by explaining to you that our sciences are based on our observation. And in quantum Physic we learn that the act of observation actually changes the results. Of some exercises. But yeah BINGO!! If we are limited to our understanding of an observation It is only understandable to people with half a brain that our Perception is not concrete.

  • @jawayetti -- And the people who have innovated in the past and advanced us technologically where first told it was impossible. Then told they where crazy. and then rape of their innovation to die alone and poor in an apartment by people looking to profit from their life's work of making the world better for all. Nature "breaks" the laws of physics around us everyday. If this wasn't try the bumblebee would not be able to fly. Or maybe we are missing something.

  • Really, we're going to a dark age, a super volcano, onset of an ice age and maybe blackhole Earth. This is all false promises to keep the masses at bay, struggling waiting on free electricity til they're all dead of Fukushima nuke spew. Or nuke war or drone war or super volcano. Or whatever brand of nastiness the fleshy man god of Earth is going to stamp on this planet to extinguish great power that got slippery in his grasp.

  • @baalisgod666 What? Shut up you ignorant person.

  • These things have been around for years and years. These billionaire fuck tard death wish fools refuse to mass produce anything that would make sense. This was news in like y2k.

The first known patent to utilize energy from ocean waves dates back to 1799 and was filed in Paris by Girard and his son.

An early application of wave power was a device constructed around 1910 by Bochaux-Praceique to light and power his house at Royan, near Bordeaux in France.

This whore media is selling hope and lies

  • Clue that is BS from the liberal medias again: there's absolutly no numbers about how much energy this thing can produce on avg.

  • hope they don;t kill him

  • This has been around for decades already. It has numerous flaws, primarily with producing enough power to transmit to areas without ocean front.

  • i've always thought of using the ocean for energy. too bad i wasn't smart enough to do anything with that idea XD

  • what if they made giant offshore watermills to produce energy.. would it work?

  • @datpiffny no. but there is lots of underwater bouy type wave machines. one is being prototyped right here off fremantle.

  • Cold fusion is the answer. Look it up.

  • @StrategyMaster17 you just discovered cold fusion?? that's great. now research how no-one can ever make it work when there is a camera present. then have a long hard think about why that might be

  • I'm sorry, but how did this piece end up on Fox? I mean, am I missing something here? I feel like I'm being Punk'd?!

Or maybe I'm just too HIGH! (_-_-_)

  • How about hooking up generators to fat peoples mouths.

  • @defect530 Or any American.

  • wave energy has been in research for years

nobody is going to die of a heart attack you conspiracy nuts

  • @whatisahumans I was typing up exactly the same thing, then yours popped up. Another intelligent being. I am not alone :)

  • @whatisahumans joke it was a joke

  • @smoky281 should have used the font "sarcastica"

  • Bay of Fundy!

  • Publicity helps protect & encourage these guys on the forefront of innovation. The Americans need some major innovation to get us out of the hole that the religious/atheist elitists have put us in. While I believe in the religion of unselfish love (Christ set this one up), all I see behind the scenes of the world's major religions is a fundamentally immoral doctrine that exalts itself to the destruction of all others. Well, phooey on them! Hooray for the innovators! Keep'em coming. We'll show'em

  • energy from the waves is an old idea at least 20 years old ...i have been studying this for decades ...

  • baba booey

  • Most of the earth population lives within 100 miles of the coast?

What a fool. What planet is that clown living on?

  • @KASPLARFO It is a fact you baboon. Australia is a good example. 20 million on the coast 1 million inland.

  • BP Oil will dislike this.

  • converting tide energies to electricity is not new

  • @davidmgm you're old.

  • "wind turban"

Fox News Freudian slip?probably not...but they should learn how to pronounce words correctly before saying them...

  • @warpedwiselegoman

    That's a correct alternate pronunciation.

  • @ReliableInsider Only in America, where they pronounce Buoys as BOO-EES instead of BOYS. They call creatures critters. They call aluminium aloominum.

Your the only idiots in the first world still using imperial measurements, and your boats are on the wrong side of the waterways (You and your sickophant friend the Philipines). Your the neanderthals of the modern era.

  • @baalisgod666 Regional dialects are a simple fact of any living language and hardly a reflection of collective intelligence. Also I'd suggest looking into the proper use of your vs you're especially when deriding other peoples intelligence.

  • @ReliableInsider i know,i was making fun of the fact it sounded like turban and how some schmuck would say it was subliminal fear mongering or some shit like that :)

  • i am fucking tired of breathing car and truck exaust. been breathing it all day in tampa floridaand it is killing all of us.

  • 0:36 No Sir, what you have there is the beginning of the end of your little science project.

These things were invented decades ago. I wonder why they're still not in use?

Maybe just a tiny hint of corporate monopoly on electrical power.

It's a great idea though. The sea is in constant movement. An infinite source for energy.

  • This has been around for awhile now.

  • Yawn scotland already beat you to it

    Pelamis Wave Energy Converter

  • Nikola Tesla has already created a way to get unlimited energy from the earth, and yet we still ignore it.

  • @VisualK3i94

Right on bro! Just thinking of Tesla. The oil companies will do what they always do to get their way, shut them down. Like you said. The technology is there. Its only a matter of time before ppl see sense, or whats left of it.

  • In a month from now, this guy will die of a "heart attack" because he created free power.

  • @DiscoverTruth1776

Well, it's not free power. The piece of equipment required to convert the wave energy into electricity has to be built (mass produced) and maintained in rough and hostile conditions (out to sea). Then that electricity has to be delivered over wire from the source to the power grid. I bet it's not cheap at all. In fact, I would argue that traditional hydro power production is probably a lot more efficient and cheaper than this. Nobody's being "disappeared" over this.

  • @DiscoverTruth1776 Where do you get that this is "free power" anymore than a hydroelectric dam is free? Do you think research and development is free? Do you think maintenance and production costs are free? How about all of the labor that this is going to take? I don't recall the man ever saying he planned on giving electricity away for free.. do you?

  • @DiscoverTruth1776 Wave energy was discovered quite some time before this fellow. Tide energy as well. Also underwater current energy.

  • What is the environment impact of this?

  • Ha.. This was mentioned in Zeitgeist - Moving Forward..

  • How about we use Nuclear energy that is emissions free and cheap? Nope, that would be to logical and cost effective.

  • @TheTubbtubb

    Emission-free? Ha!

How do you propose we dispose of the nuclear waste?

As they say, you must be trollin'.

  • @ReliableInsider Nuclear waste isn't an emission, dip shit. It's a solid material that can be stored in vaults.

  • @TheTubbtubb

    Until they leak.

Nuclear power is a failed technology.

  • @ReliableInsider Yeah, all of those constant leaks and meltdowns are a real problem, aren't they? Oh wait, nuclear power plants rarely have serious radiation leaks! But don't let facts stand in the way of your crusade for "green" energy.

  • @TheTubbtubb -Too much risk to the environment and all living things. We must change our old nasty habits and evolve past the bullshit religions. The current political structure must also be done away with-asap! It has been taken over by an extremist cult called zionism or the zionist's.They are seriously disturbed inbreds that are extremely racist thinking and acting.

  • @TheTubbtubb your kidding right ???

  • @TheTubbtubb Nuclear waste . . . need I say more? I live between two nuclear power plants. I'd rather not.

  • @TheTubbtubb Nuclear power is neither cheap nor is it emissions-free; tremendous fossil fuel inputs are required for the production of nuclear fuel, a lot of excess heat is given off during nuclear power generation, most of which is sunk into our waterways, plus nuclear power only exists because of huge publicly-funded subsidies to that industry:

    chelseagreen. com /content/nuclear-power-not-emissions-free-not-sustainable/

  • if we wait for the government it will never happen, we have to do everything we can on our developement of new energy sources, go guys keep thinking.

  • Lobbyists will kill this in a heartbeat.

  • After the record of disaster we have seen from nuclear energy, I don't think I am alone in saying, "Anything Non-Lethal or Non-Cancer-Causing would be better"!

  • I was gonna say "OLD!" but I was thinking of something closer to the shore. Awesome science.

  • Shell oil and BP will make that contraption and it's inventor disapeer by the weekend''

  • @Urgearhead

Nah, he'll sell out. He'll sell the patent to a company that has no intention of producing free energy machines. Duh. If he doesn't sell out they might nuke em cancerous or something like that. But more likely he'll sell it cheap to someone intent to sit on the patent but for the tiniest manufacturing capacity if at all.

  • @Urgearhead Nah, they'll just get the govt to do it for them.

  • That happened with Thermal Depolymerization. It's a pressure boiling recycling process that touts the ability to produce clean water, clean oil and minerals, thus turn literally anything into useful provision from shredded cars to airplanes to bottles cans anything fed into the Thermal Depolymerizer pressure boiler is reduced to those clean components. But rather than do that, they're just piling garbage on garbage then building houses on top of it where they can make a house stick for a decade.

  • this guy sounds like mox. Is there a northwest accent?

  • Comment removed

  • not until the government is done fighting wars. They're going to leech every last ounce of oil and life from their main sources of profit. They have no intention of these "renewable" energy resources.

  • YES!

We're surrounded by oceans of energy and the ocean is only part of it. Clean energy couldn't be easier.

  • exciting stuff, I love science.
