  • Sweet intro

  • Excellent video! The voice over was perfect!

  • That was the ACES train @5:23 running from NY to Atlantic City. Nice catch!

  • hey,...3:48 is an NS callendar worthy shot if you can recreate that in a still shot !!!!

  • Thanks, Dave! I actually took a lot of shots, but they were all ruined because my photo camera was (for some reason) on color isolation. It was totally messed up. I'm going back down there tomorrow, though. By the way, as I'm typing this CSX Q410-28 is passing by with two FEC GP40-2's. I missed it. Just thought I'd throw that in. :/

  • damn that does suck ! sorry bout that. last time i went to folkston, we drove over to waycross and shot a bunch of stuff at progress rail. found an FEC st8t GP40 gettin ready to be scraped. it actually looked pretty decent.

  • Very cool, I love this video!

    5*

  • Grate vid as always Kyle. Faved!

  • Haha It's Kyle narrating again :D Great job!

  • This is the first video that I have watched of yours. Your intro is a piece of work. You narrarate everything wonderfully and everything is worth 10 stars!

  • Well About Time we see such a video as this out of the famed " TrainiacProductions " ! Excellent, Excellent Job! By far, quite the best video you've posted in quite some time. Bravo Kyle

  • Excellent video! I just HAD to Favorite it! *grin* Keep up the great work!

  • Great work as usual, Kyle! Love the NS Geeps & the shots! 5*s

    Cheers,

    Joshua

  • Great vid 5*s

  • Awesome 5/5!

  • dude! Veery awesome intro =)

  • Thanks

  • Very nice, kyle! I love the intro too

  • Thanks, Gabe!

  • Nice catches 5*

  • Thanks, Mike!

  • What editing software do you use?

  • Awesome vid! BTW, how come some of the trains on the NEC blow their horns as the cross the river?

  • Thanks! And it's because on that part of the bridge area, there is a steep concrete/ brick wall enclosing the line for I'd say about half a mile. Trespassers sometimes get stuck in there, so I'd assume it's a warning. However I'm sure an Amtrak crewmember could probably give a more accurate answer.

  • I see. I've also noticed that the same thing seems to happen when trains enter and exit the tunnel leading into New York. Is there some sort of law that trains must sound the horn when entering and leaving tunnels?

  • Wow I didn't know a shortline railroad existed in Morrisville. I love SMS's paint scheme. Great video!

  • Yessir, they have quite a decent set of tracks in Morrisville! They're a really neat operation. And yeah, me too -- it's cool to see something so close to Reading paint. Thanks, Ryan!

  • Speculator video, Kyle. I love that K5LA horn on that CSX SD40-2.

  • Thanks very much, Brett! I appreciate it!

  • Another great job, Kyle! And thanks for plugging the website!

  • Thanks so much, Tim! I'm glad you liked it! And no problem at all -- you guys have put together and amazing site. It's really outstanding

  • That is a great intro!!

  • Thanks, Adam! =D

  • very interesting switcher at 9:55

  • I'm going to assume you mean the 2104, which is an ex-Conrail, nee-Reading SW1001. NS has only around 10 or so of these units, most of which have been in Morrisville at one time or another. Earlier this month we had 2103 and 2104 coupled together, which is relatively rare.

  • I love your new opening. GREAT footage, dude. 5*, a favorite, and a channel post.

  • Thanks, Jared! I'm really glad to hear that you enjoyed it! I appreciate your support as always, dude.

  • wow, those GP's look really well maintained.

  • Great job again Kyle! My favorite shot is at 3:33

  • Thanks, Tim! I'm glad you liked it! And yeah I was looking forward to shooting from there!

  • awesome video..any idea of the horn on those old CSX units?

  • Thanks, Malerie! I believe the unit has an Old-Cast K5LA from it's Seaboard heritage.

  • hmm...might oughta buy a Seaboard for my layout..liked that horn

  • lol 3:41 looks like where the Philadelphia Zoo is.

  • I've never been there, but that location does seem pretty natural!

  • The bridge there looks almost exactly the same, but the only issue is that it's not across from the Delaware River, but the Schuylkill River. LOL.

  • I remember Ed Weller. Retired from Tastykake, was a fellow railfan. Use to run into him all the time all over the Trenton Line. Me and my friend Phil would hike some track with him to find good locations. He went through that CSX conductor program at CCP and got a job with CSX, then we use to see him in the cab of CSX trains. Real nice guy. Shame he's gone.

  • From what your comment indicates, the dedication of #301 to Mr. Weller is a very fitting thing. It's good to hear from someone who knew him well.

  • He was a good guy. You would run into him everywhere on the CSX Trenton Line, Woodbourne, Neshaminy, Olney, Nicetown, till he became a conductor on CSX then you started seeing him in the cab. Last time I saw him we were chasing the UP business train during the GOP convention in 2000. Those were the days.

  • Nice! What editing program do you use?

  • Thanks, Keith! I use a combination of Pinnacle Studio 12 Ultimate (for the intro and other scenes with more intricate graphics/montages) and Windows Movie Maker (to put it all together into one video).

  • nice catches!

  • Thanks, Mike!
