Too much pressure . Pressure from the crowd, his peers,the situation , the equipment which is inadequate. Too much pressure on the throttle too. too much things to avoiod.
No rotor, just a shitty paramotor with a crazy bad torque problem and pilot skills not up to the task. Look around in that video, there's hardly enough wind to reverse launch, nothing blowing around, no ones hair blowing etc. Just bad gear, bad judgement and lack of skills.

Scary that this guy, was able to set up and start his paramotor, without being, challenged, but thank God he hit the ground and not a person. Spinning props and soft human tissue, do not mix . It's clearly Murphy's law why he crashed... Alot of people to see it so there is sure to be a crash... You could launch that same spot like a zillion times and never have a problem and then as soon as somebody is there whamo!

few mistakes-launching in a crowded park & down wind from tall buildings...that plus a inferior paramotor & a pilot not ready to deal w/ a torque issue like that all makes for a probable incident..he steered away from the direct wind because of people in the park resulting in poor lift...was way heavy on the throttle trying to climb too fast because of people in the park resulting in twist & when he got closer to the buildings he experienced the strong cross winds from between those buildings
@kadkhah The twist is brought on by torque. It's true had he not fought it never would have twisted but the initial cause has nothing to do with rotor wash. It has everything to do with torque.

What you see is twist not torque
Pilot is trying to maintain the direction and resist the toque effect by twisting his body!!!
The way to prevent this is to follow your glider during the takeoff and go with it
