Sting once said (after Stevie recorded with him) "When stevie Wonder walks into the room, you feel as though you're in the presence of a higher being"
Wish I could have been born when these wonderful works of art were created by the greatest musician who ever lived :) I guess I'm 14 to help keep this man's legend alive forever :)
He's doing something unique.I love this man,his talent, his music, everything about his incredible and magical mind. Its fascinating to take a trip to his world even just for 4:01 minutes.
A nice sunny day drinking California cooler at the park with this song playing. Oh!!! that what I called a perfect day. Miss the 70's,easy day, mellow night.not like today.
@not2shy2say I, too, miss the 70s...the music of stevie, earth, wind and fire, the miracles, commodores...don't forget betty white (the cleanup woman), i wish those days would come back once more.
Had a debate with a friend some time ago about the 3 most emotional sounds in Black music. For me, Ramsey Lewis on keyboards was third, Junior Walker on sax was second, and Stevie Wonder on harmonica was first. After hearing this again which has been a fave on mine since 1976 I rest my case.
Let's not just limit it to Black music.....let's just say music PERIOD! And I'd agree with you in regards to instramental sounds. As for emotion is a voice.... Stevie wins that too.
Its been a long day, I'm going to sit back on the porch and watch the people live their lives. As I recover from mine. Relaxing and in another world. Stevie makes me feel that way with this, Beautiful song.
wonder tune takes your breath away time and time again love the rhythm to the fullest takes you to a whole nother place in time and i get that feeling everytime i listen to this relaxing set from stevie
The song sounds like hes at home relaxing sitting on the porch drinking lemonade listening to the birds flying in the sky as he plays this relaxing sex love it stevie records sold well over 100,million world wide and you can listen to him and see why
LET'S NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd rather keep the image of Stevie Wonder etched in my brain until the day I die... Not some actor who horribly messed up!!!!! And y'all know you'll be talking about how good or effin' craptacular that movie was if it was to be made!!!!!!!!!!!
@motowninvestor That would be great but I'm just wondering how it would look next to Ray the movie. Not saying that they must be the same of course they are two completely different people but I'm just wondering how other people will see it.
Do pop songs get any more warmly, wonderfully evocative than this one? And has any song without words ever had a title that described it so perfectly?
This is the last track on the record and its a very sweet way to end this incredible album. Just listened to all the tracks in order and there are some fantastic songs here. And truly not a bad one in the bunch.

That's it. I'm building a time machine and live the 1970s. It's much better than the shit we are living in right now.

Summertime in the park with your woman, laid out on a blanket, your head in her lap, people watching, laughing, talking, might just doze off...
