If you ever watched the U.K. shows Let's Rock and Oh Boy, she always sang like this on rock 'n' roll songs. I've had a crush on her for a long time. The first album my Mum ever bought me was Lulu. It seemed kinda old fashioned to me but I did get to like it. Later I realised she was a youngster in 1960s London and she wanted to pass on something that represented a happy time for her. I have since had a big interest in 1960s London and I love the clothes and sounds.
