If it were an optical illusion then then there is a slight incline in the opposite direction (ie, walking up, incline down or vice versa). So, a long carpenters level should tell the story.
@bakker46 I don't know how it workks exactly but always thought it was an optical illusion where it looks like you are going downhill because of the surrounding terrain but your not. Maybe Chuck will be able to explain it.
@RedanWhiteRebel That is a good one for a future show. I have seen it recreated in a special room where billiard balls appear to roll uphill on a table.
I thing they have "magic" roads just all over. I remember we had one in Alabama when I lived there and I think there is (or was) one here in central Florida too.
We have magic road near us on the A719, it's called the Electric Brae. The next time I am down that way I will film it. On a clear day you can see Ireland from the viewpoint nearby.
@Hank2wheels Two great reasons for making a video right there Hank ...lol. Look forward to seeing it..... I enjoyed the magic road and would love to see a vid of the Electric Brae.

These views and monuments are fantastic RWR.
We have some "magnetic roads" in North America too.
One is in Burlington, Southern Ontario.

@suburbanryder Maybe you could do a scientific tdd report on how the Magic Roads work Chuck. I think it is some form of optical illusion.
