Nice video, gives Fairuz her dues.

However, there's something one observes as always with Al Jazeera. The fact that they try to de-emphasize her Lebanese side.

The fact remains that Fairuz is a Lebanese singer first and foremost, and her songs are part of the Lebanese identity before anything else.

Al Jazeera are Lebanon haters.

This is not enough. Not enough at all. Whatever is said or written on Fairuz is not enough. Just listen to any of her songs and definately your feelings will talk and describe better than any other words in the world. FAIRUZ ALLA YEKHALLEEK YA YEHFADEK YARAB.

We should really work to re-popularise this dying artform again in our society. Especially her musical plays which are not well known to most of us.

Fairouz, yes .. Fairuz, what can I say. Absorbing Fairouz and Rahbani's greatness is a lifetime journey that never ends. What about all these old angelic songs that are almost unknown, and can lift you up to the world beyond. What about the depth of the 20 or so world-class musical plays and films, in their deep meanings and conveying a pure message constructed inside a cocktail of sofisticated music, words, dance and great voices.
