As England weren't in the tournament, I wanted Netherlands to win. They raped France and Italy. But the most entertaining team was definitely Turkey, they made the tournament unforgettable.

So wanted them to reach the final, but they had so many injuries, and the fucking Germans knocked them out.

Spain vs The Netherlands would have been a battle of beautiful football (unlike the world cup final between em). Also the comebacks Turkey had managed was unbelieveible! Wow brings a tear to my eye and I hate Spain. What a tournament! It had it all: The quality football of Holland in the group stage, France's original dimise, Italy being dreadful and nearly knocking out Spain, Croatian assuratiy, Greece's dismal defence of their trophy, Russia's brilliance, the worst hosts ever, Over-hyped Portugal, Turkey's pluckiness, Germany well and truely taking the biscuit, and new champions. So good being able to watch it as a neutral. Euro 2012 will be a cracker too!

I didn't think Euro 2004 could be beaten for me (I am part Greek) but even though my home nation (England) didn't make it, my ethnic background (Cyprus) never makes it, and my other ethnic background (Greece) were slaughtered, it was the best Euro Championships ever. I especially liked the Spanish (Liverpool supporter so yeah) during the group stage, the Turks because of their never say die attitude, and the Dutch have to be mentioned for their group stage riot (amazing football: 4-0, 4-1, 2-0)
