@SexyHarassmentPanda There's been no official statements from Jive Records and this is the closest we're getting to one from Archuleta. We're probably never going to know the whole story and in the long run, we probably shouldn't. So, why should fingers be pointed?
And to be fair, Jive didn't always play their part in promoting his album or getting songs on the radio. A lot of artists are having problems with them.

David, change is the name of the game in the world anymore. You're not alone! You're growing and maturing into young adulthood and you're right to step back and try to figure out which direction you want to go. The music business is definitely in a state of change. I know Nick Lachey, who I think was with Jive, never did come out with his next album and is doing other things. I saw where Rascal Flatts had to go with a new label. I know CDs aren't selling for anyone what with ITunes, etc.

Is that some sort insult toward Gaga? Just because Gaga doesn't do it does not mean it's a bad thing. As Gaga says "I try to keep my self away from internet as much as possible"(most likley for judgemental reasons and stuff like that), but don't get me wrong she does go on to browse videos sent from her fans & tweets. However, NOW as a much more known and worldwide super star she simply doesn't have the type of time anymore like she did in the past where she made her old vlogs.

Jive: The last CD didn't sell that well. We told you those songs would not sell. The public does not like those kinds of songs.
David: How do you know the public doesn't like them? You guys didn't get them any radio play. It's like you did not want the CD to succeed. Plus, these are the kind of songs I want to sing.
Jive: We don't want those kind of songs. We want "My World 3.0" and we want it in 2 months.
I think there's nothing wrong about making your own decisions and following your guts. Just don't mind those people who have become unsupportive of your decisions 'cause so far you have been in the right direction :D You're my idol David Archuleta! :D
In an interview, when he said he doesn't like to wear expensive clothes because his fans may copy him, I was surprised. I have never seen any celebrities who always think above anyone and one step further. Surely he's down to earth and people's person. When hollywood celebrities try to brag what they have, expensive cars, clothes and stuff, his mind is not into material stuff. My respect goes to him.

David, change is the name of the game in the world anymore. You're not alone! You're growing and maturing into young adulthood and you're right to step back and try to figure out which direction you want to go. The music business is definitely in a state of change. I know Nick Lachey, who I think was with Jive, never did come out with his next album and is doing other things. I saw where Rascal Flatts had to go with a new label. I know CDs aren't selling for anyone what with ITunes, etc.

David, why don't you try going back to your debut album sound, I love The Other Side of Down but I think people at your label or whoever is in charge of the sound really overproduced it. You have an amazing voice and that should be enough for a great song!

Is that some sort insult toward Gaga? Just because Gaga doesn't do it does not mean it's a bad thing. As Gaga says "I try to keep my self away from internet as much as possible"(most likley for judgemental reasons and stuff like that), but don't get me wrong she does go on to browse videos sent from her fans & tweets. However, NOW as a much more known and worldwide super star she simply doesn't have the type of time anymore like she did in the past where she made her old vlogs.

Jive: The last CD didn't sell that well. We told you those songs would not sell. The public does not like those kinds of songs.

In an interview, when he said he doesn't like to wear expensive clothes because his fans may copy him, I was surprised. I have never seen any celebrities who always think above anyone and one step further. Surely he's down to earth and people's person.
