  • Sloooow comp

  • Low quality looks like Warcraft 3

  • IMO I didn't like the choice of music, but the video accomplished it's goal :)

Thanks for the comparison. Good video :)

  • @Sarcahsm Thanks. My original audio got removed due to copyrights, so I had to put it some copyright-free music.

It's not perfect, but it's better than no music :)

  • @wc1hater sc1 had the graphics of 1991... They did try to make it as pretty as possible.

  • you lagg

  • @ErsteMahnung If you turn the notations on, you'll understand why...

  • It looks like fucking lego on low settings

  • I have 6450 1GB, 4gb Ram, 2,5 TB HDD, Quad-Core 2.3GHz Overclocked Amd Phenom 9500, and i play the game at lowest graphics, with almost one fps. Rock on!

  • @DJPetomatick im dual core i3 4 gb ram 6850 with 110 fps XD

  • as it is called the music video of your video bune another thing I have the stacraft 2 low

  • whats ur fps when u play on ultra settings?

  • @amvGhost Around 50-60

  • looks cuter in low graphics <3

thats how i have to play cuz of my PC :(

  • lol lowest graphics can be used for maps which resemble team fortress' clay units

  • Did you use a 5850 or 5870?

  • 5830 actually.

  • can i run this game on my fucking radeon 9250? there should be a button where can i desactivate the pixel shader 2.0

  • I always play on low vs extreme, its just easier to control units and see what's going on clearer without the fancy graphics getting in the way.

  • @boyze123 not that, but your computer is shit that's the reason

  • i wish they'll make a starcraft 2 update or seperate game (but still starcraft 2) that can be played by other people that has a very low graphics card, also i want that to be added in Heart Of The Swarm you know what else?? ADD LURKERS IN SC2 HOTS

  • sc2 has nice graphics and physics, and shit game mechanics

  • low settings are still pretty nice

  • On lowest graphics, the SC2 game looks cartoonish.

  • @zinki120

on highest graphic, the SC2 game looks cartoonish.

  • @zinki120 But its got epic framerate

  • i don't have a monster PC, so i have to play on minimun settings :(

    very good sequel anyway.

  • oh and the settings from medium and ultra arent very noticeable, only when you zoom in it changes a bit, but lowest the change is plain noticeable, peace

  • Its Protoss lol not protos ;) nice vid though, finally someone does this, ive been trying to compare the settings, the highest i can play in is medium with no lag whatsoever, its on a 300 dollar laptop, the hp dv5, i freaking love it, im glad i bought it, i can play and do other things with no problem at all, so if anyone wants to be able to play sc2 on a affordable laptop on medium settings with no lag, look no further than the HP Dv5 its just awesome, trust me, works for me

  • strangely, the lowest graphics looks like Warcraft 3

  • what graphics settings do i need to put on to see death animations?

  • When playing battle.net,online, do most likely people have to lower their graphics ?

  • you need a big pc for this game, i have this game and i use mid. graph :(

  • What computer/laptop do you have?

  • Lowest settings (except 3d portraits) and proud.

  • When i started playing Beta & SC2 Finaly came out i had an awful PC and could only play on very low low settings.. now i got a new PC and can play on Ultra settings :D

  • the zergs sucks with lowest settings

  • Lawl i have a 1.8 Ghz and for the minimum u need 2.4

But i still could play this game on lowest, and it doesn't looks that bad u know..

  • Even though most people hate the default songs, I kind of like them. And thanks for the video because I really wanted to see it on the highest setting. Very nice.

  • Looks awesome! But why didn't you record it with 1080 res?

  • lowest graphics looks like your average MMORPG graphics

  • my friend plays with medium settings and has 70 FPS, I play with lowest settings possible and play with 17 FPS... fuck...

  • i dont get any lag from using fraps, why do you get lag?

  • How well will this game run on my laptop?

    Asus

    Intel core i5 2.3GHz

    4GB Ram

    Windows 7

    Nvidia Geforce 540M. Cuda 1GB

  • @The0Hitman47 i think it might run...

    is this laptop for gaming?

  • low is not that bad

  • the lowest is just warcraft 3

  • it doesn't show much difference to me on youtube.. but the graphics with Ultra on pc is really awesome.. especially on Zerg hatcheries and extractors.. i guess the only reason we can't see much difference is bcuz it's uploaded on youtube..

  • Hey bro, how well do you think Nvidia Geforce gt 540m can run?

  • @NaseebyWali I've heard it runs well on Medium.

  • @ZeGuyFly Thanks. Appreciate it.

  • @NaseebyWali It can run more than medium...........it is able to run it at ULTRA!!!!!!!!!

  • Can i max out with this:

    AMD Phoenom x4 3.3ghz

Nvidia Geforce 9500 gt (Uber mega overclocked)

    2gb Ram

    Win 7 ultimate SP1

    500gb HD

  • @Trualdie sure.............no prob

  • Most pro gamers play on the lowest setting. It easier to see everything and the response time is better.

  • @TamaNewb thats true...................but if you can run it at 100 fps in ultra why play it at 1000 fps in low?

  • still looks nice :)

  • what computer are you playing? My computer is Window 7 Home Premium. It run really fast (max speed setting) but when my shader is at Medium or higher setting; It become a little slow that run like mid speed setting (normal speed) in low shader setting. Therefore, I conclude the shader is what make a huge difference in the game. Terrain, effect, and other don't make much different to slow my computer down.

  • What graphics would fit my PC?

    Intel Dual Core 2.00 Ghz

    RAM 2.00 Ghz

NVidia GeForce 8400 GS 512 mb

  • @Alexones1 Mines the same so idk

  • @234Darkvader i currently have all on ultra except shaders , lightning and shadows (which are on low) and it works with no lag

  • Comment removed

  • Hey the second part looks like mine! Sept with no lag...

  • The major difference is between low and medium, but of course, Ultra rules :)

  • graphics means nothing, nintendo have proved this over 1000times, personaly i feel that when the game is set to low graphics i can see things a lot more clear

  • congrats. you just showed people what ive been playing at on lowest possible settings since sc2 came out.. thank god i will be getting a new computer shortly :D

  • I have to set lowest graphics for multiplayer, but in campaign I can run some missions at full with no lag, and they look just beautiful

  • can a Radeon hd 6550m (dedicated) graphics card, i5 2.66 ghz processor (2.93 turbo boost),1600x900 resolution... play starcraft 2? (what settings?)

  • lol. i play on lowest settings and i still only get 14FPS

  • Play ultra settings at 2fps like a boss!!

    And break your video card...

  • Lowest graphics look like warcraft 3

  • a comic book looks more realistic then that kinda sad

  • I have an Intel I5 processor, 2.66ghz(can increase to 3.33ghz if needed), 6GB of ram, but sadly only an Intel(r) HD graphics card. Could i still run medium settings with my graphics card? Sadly i cannot replace my card as it is built in to my laptop.

  • Still looks pretty nice on lowest.

  • some people are so lucky to have great PCs to run an awesome game, while we have to stand and watch

    :[

  • @dannylee62 I know what you mean bro. I used to have an awful pc that could barely run counter-strike source :P So, i decided to get a job, earn some money, and after 5 months, I got enough to buy myself a PC :p

  • @StarCraft2StarCraft2 Sorry for asking now, but did you get a real job or part-time...?

  • @0kamiW0lf Its cool :)

I did it during my summer vacation, which is a total of 60 days.

I worked 30 of them, which I would consider a real job.

In total I earned about 3000$ which was way enough for a really good computer.

  • @dannylee62 Well yeah i feel ur pain but i have an XBOX360 and my bro's friend has an EPIC pc but no xbo360 so were even! :) hm.... but its still sad that we have to stand and watch. :(

  • @dannylee62 well that is sad

even though I'm one of those people who have a great PC

  • @dannylee62 i know what you man its me,too.

  • @dannylee62 if you want a good 4 core cheap system, save up 500$, i payed my 500$ (motherboard, cpu, ram, psu, gpu)

    amd phenom II x4 965 be 3,4GHz (i oc it to 4,0gHz)

    4gb ddr3 ram

    hd6870 1gb gddr5

    corsair cx600 ps

    asrock 770 extreme3 am3

all that cost me only 500$ not including the new monitor and case

it's not alot of money, and the pc is great

  • @marfg12345 Thanks for the Tip, I know that it is way more cheaper to build your own Pc than to buy a per-made one, but the stuff that you got are very good!

    Thanks again! :D

Hope people like got what you have written down lol

  • mine actually lags more on lower settings O_o

  • Comment removed

  • the program you recommended helped me so much on what i need i had to thank you cause the one thing that was holding me back in terms of running this was my card now i only get lag on like the ultra setting

  • Hey Dude Are The Low Settings Just Like Red Alert 3's CYRI NEVER works for me ? And I don't see the graphics card system requirements.

  • So if my computer meets all the Recommended requirements except for Video card (video card meets minimum requirements), should it play ok on my computer with all low settings?

Does video card just affect the graphics? I mean to say, that since my RAM and processor are both very good, my game shouldn't slow down?

  • @awesome220 The video card is very crucial when it comes to playing games.

But since it meets the minimum requirements, and you got a good RAM and processor, you should be able to play it on at least low. At least.

  • @StarCraft2StarCraft2 I have a 4gb RAM and dual core 2.4 ghz. Mine lags at medium settings what causes it?

  • @blajablaja1 graphic card.

  • @hangene92 which one you recommend? I mean to play at least on medium (not ultra)

  • @blajablaja1 well actually, any graphic card in the market is good enough for medium plays. You only need a good graphic card if you want that fps to be higher than 30.

  • @blajablaja1 I recommend the GTS 450. It cost around 100$ on newegg and it can run SC2 on highest settings. If you want a bit more the GTX 460/560 is very good. For ATI/AMD I don't really know.

  • @StarCraft2StarCraft2 if my video card is nvidia geforce 320m and i have 5gb ram, is that enough to play on ultra

  • @StarCraft2StarCraft2 tht explains y i have 0, 1,2 or 3 fps on low settings

  • @StarCraft2StarCraft2 will i be able to run this in ultra with this

    4 gb ram,quad core intel core i7,nvidia quadro fx 880m 1 gb???

  • @awesome220 That was the same thing for me, and it ran sc in 13 fps max( on low). Check your systems more specifically without requierments lab or anything like that

  • @awesome220 Ive been playing starcraft II on a 9 year old computer, it lags a bit, but i can still play, Im willing to bet your computer will run it just fine.

  • @Ultimabong Thanks for your input!

  • Its good that they actualy made it playable for weaker pc's i have a laptop and its not old just i have a graphic card that well a graphic card that costs only 50$ would boost preformance 3x but sadly its not upgradable

  • i can run on high but i run at lowest cause it batter more scruffy to play

  • can i run ultra setitings on this specs

    PHENOM2 X4 925

    4gig ram

    hd4670

  • can i run ultra on hd4670?

  • i have windows vista and have like a 2.00 ram what would my best settings be?

  • @USERNAMEKLEMPTOR windows vista is acually recomended to run starcraft 2 and 2.0 ram is on the recommneded list as well but you need a cpu Dual Core 2.4 GHz Processor and 512 MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800 GTX or ATI Radeon® HD 3870 or better, and thats for recommneded setting so to not expreince any lag at all id suggest playing on high, blizzard is gonna suggest medium but the underscore you computer for the specs it can run

  • I hoping to get a comp, instead of using my laptop cause I have to run starcraft 2 on the lowest settings because of my crappy intel graphics card :( but the game is still great :)

  • on Low it just look like the old starcraft but then upgraded

  • I wish my computer ran SCII this smooth. >.<

  • God it's ugly on the lowest setting.

Happy that I bought this game with a ati hd 5770.

    I had a ati hd 4200 integrated.

  • This is one reason why this game is so amazing. You can play it from an old computer, and still have fun, or you can play it on a new computer with better graphics.

  • my comps specs: amd phenom x2 sixcore 3.0ghz, 8gb ram. gforce 460se. havent found a game that can lag more computer yet.

  • if you look at it lowest graphics could be a kind of gamestyle too like a cartoonish kinda play i would still rather ultra but thats just me

  • lol my pc ram is only

    768mb

  • graphics dont make the game. Gameplay does. :]

  • protoss are the less ugly ones in low graphics xD

  • Would my Mac have to run on lowest settings, or could I maybe bump up to medium:

    8600 GT 256MB

    4GB 667 DDR2 RAM

    C2D 2.4Ghz

    late 07/ early 08 model.

WOuld want to know before I buy the game really. Cheers guys! :)

  • @deado000 you would be running on low

  • @deado000 My suggestion: Sell your mac, and buy a computer running windows xp/windows 7 so that after 2 years pass you don't have a non-upgradeable computer that can't play the newest games.

And yes, your computer could probably run it in between low and medium (Not sure if your processor could handle medium)

  • @lalamonkeydude I will when PC gets the best music editing software, until then I'll stick with Mac TYVM :)

    Need Mac for university.

  • @deado000 I'm just gonna say that I've used garage band, and it's not much better than fl studio (I actually prefer it [and no, I don't use it extensively] and even mixcraft. It's definitely not worth the extra 75% you pay for the hardware

  • @lalamonkeydude Garageband is the biggest waste of space on a Macs hard drive possible, and is an offence to call it a music editing and creation tool :D . I'm talking about Logic Pro, as well as Pro Tools, Ableton Live and Reason, mainly Logic Pro though, which you can't get for Windows.

Macs are also the key part for film editing as well, basically for creative editing you NEED a Mac, it's just unwritten law.

I agree about the price though.

  • Can a 7300 LE nvidia approx. memory 854mb. run it with dual core @ 2.13 GHz and 2 gb of ram?

  • @sobambomberful you would need 0.07 more GHz of processing power

  • so what if im watching the vid on 360 p?

  • Can this video card run it? ATI Radeon x1650 Pro? can it run?

  • Is it just me, or does the low settings look like claymation?

  • c&c 3 graphics is way better than starcraft 2

  • you didn't even scout. but who cares this is just a graphics comparison

  • who uses sensor towers?

  • How you do you get it to run smooth with high graphic settings?

  • Lowest Texture looks like WC 3 to me(maybe I didn't change the settings lol)

  • well i looks like on lowest grapics it looks like sc 1 but in 3D O_o no not like popping out and that

  • Im sure this has been noted but on low just looks like wc 3

  • I think The protoss is doing very well with low graphics , it still looks cool

  • so basiclly if your able to play the old starcraft you should be able to play starcraft 2 on low settings right

  • @12musicgroup yea

  • this looks like minecraft graphics?

  • Zerg are the most damaged with low settings.

anyway, its sad when in low setting when a structure is destroyed it doesnt left pieces behind.

  • to people complaining about the graphics in this game, yeah, if you zoom in on a single unit, it doesn't look supergood.

but you MUST also remember that you can't by any means compare rts games with OTHER games... not even mmos.

rts games are supposed to look good from a distance, otherwise it would lag like hell...

when you see the whole battlefield with all shooting beams, explosions, slimebursts and whatnot, THEN you can see how the graphics are superior.

    think people, THINK...

  • My Starcraft II gameplay fps was drop from 60-100 to 30 in some campaign and melee game large army, i don't know why

    Spec

    Intel i5 760

    4GB ram gskill

    Geforce GTX460

    it's CPU bottleneck?

  • lol everything looks cute in the lowest settings xD

  • on highest u actually can see Chuck Norris waving to you from the Command Center

  • I think its good that blizz made the game so that you can play SC2 even if you have a moderately good comp. Maybe you dont have the cash to buy a uber comp for 15-20.000 bucks (Thats in swedish kronor ^^) Because, grachips isnt everything. Just look at CS 1.6.

  • @theFloxie Yej, you're right, look at Call of Duty 1(which for me shares first place with COD 2.)

  • dammit!!! i can`t play

  • the last three stages in medium have so much stuff going on that it's hard to find out what's an actual unit and what's not.

I thought blizzard was not the kind of company who would just jump on the "the more graphic details, the better" bandwagon that 99,99% oft new gen console games jump on.

  • but the game is still freaking awesome.

  • On lowest settings it's really like Warcraft III lol

  • Why only 2GB RAM when you are a gamer, and Windows 7? Just sayin'

  • oh my god those low graphics are painful to watch, it's like how warcraft 3 probably looked when they weren't even at beta yet.

  • I think that its the terrain that look much different... The units look almost the same

  • Am i the only one that likes the low graphs more than high?

  • @bood3e

no you are not allow ^^ i can play in ultra too but dont know low looks better ^^

  • the website says i can't play sc2 but i can just with the lowest settings ^^

  • It sucks to be a Protoss player because it tends to lag more if you trying to play on better graphics than low. Reason is the pylon background and most people have high graphics posted on youtube.

  • will i be able to play on any settings lag free with a stock toshiba satellite L300? someone please respond i wanna know if i can play or if i have to return sc2

  • Seeing how it looks on low settings, it should run on a 6 year old PC. But then again, if they designed it that way, who'd buy all the new hardware?

  • Come on people, low dosen't look THAT bad, besides, graphics don't matter, it's still a fun and addicitng game

  • Technically the pro do run their game on low setting cause it helps them differentiate the units better.

  • I have a quad core processor, 8gb ram, and an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 graphics card. Is this good enough to run the ultra graphics?

  • @Stratocaster720 It is. i have Ati radeon hd 4850 on imac 27 quad core i5 2540x1440 resolution and the graphics card is designed for laptops and it runs 50-70fps on high.

  • low looks like warcraft3 its shitty

  • asdasdasd: but wow is better

asdasdasd: wow is 10 times better

    asdasdasd: starcraft is for nerds

    asdasdasd: with no life

what my friend said on steam when i said i wouldnt go back to wow because starcraft was better

  • You should probably get a 64bit OS and upgrade to at least 4GB of 1333 MHz DDR3

  • On the "can you run it" site I got about a third of the way between min requirements and recommended, does this mean I am stuck on the lowest graphics settings or can I run med at a pinch? :D

  • what i hate about the lowest setting is that the picture is not animated

  • you recon an intel core i5 760 quad core, ati radeon 6850 and 6gb will run this game on max settings without hastle?

  • Hey i went to your site and it showed me as in between low and high graphics does that mean it will run fine on medium graphics?
