My friend got stuck right at this part, as well. He did the same thing as you did, going back to the house and wandering around trying to find a way to the back door.

The multitude of monsters is supposed to be a subtle hint by the developers that you've gone the wrong way, I think. The problem is that it's difficult to tell when the designers are trying to hint that you've moved along too much or when they're just being sadistic bastards.

His dad was a hunter quite simply. That's the room where he cut the animals up and probably did some taxidermy. When you visit your house you do see some animal heads on the walls.

You actually missed a door in the Town Hall basement, it blends in w/ the hall and is beside 2 book cases...I think, you need the dagger to open it. That's how you get to the cemetery. Also, when I watch you play I almost get a heart attack every time a monster appears because of your lack of healing items! Keep up the good work Helloween, I believe in you!
