  • my right ear is sad

  • why is it flipped on the wii?

  • @okami508 Link is left-handed, while the majority of the population is right-handed, so Instead of remodeling Link and retesting a billion things, they just mirrored the rendered image.

  • @mzxrules no, i think its cuz you hold the wiimote in your right hand

  • @Killzone3265 You can hold the wiimote in any hand you want to.

  • i mean like how do we reset it on the wii

  • @kevinallen3 You can either press home on the wiimote and reset, or press the reset button on the console itself. Try looking up LogitechSDAZ 's videos on BiT, I hear the timing is different than on GCN.

  • what about the wii?

  • for some reason i don't think this works becaus before he had no memory card then magicly he had a memory card, i think he just didn't get any of the heart containers through the temples.

  • i dont get it cant u just start a new file if u want to start over again

  • Volvagia, nice name XD

  • reset button?

  • @millmanturtle or the reset combo (Start + B + X i think)

  • When Link picked up the giant rock, I couldn't help but go, "OH GOD WATCH YOUR STAMINA." Yeah, too much Skyward Sword.

  • i did it on the wii version awesome ....well not the start menu glitch but getting out of hyrule

  • does this still work if i'm playing the gamecube version on the wii?

  • @NJJincorperated

    Yes, it does.

  • Comment removed

  • I tried this glitch on the wii and it didnt work, but when i went and pressed a +b it showed a closeup of epona but not the normal one and it lasted for 1-2 seconds and then loaded the files. Why did it do that?

  • @joejoebobbob1 maybe it knew you were cheating :D, jk

  • @TheTorturedxX *gasp* nooooo... i was trying to keep it a secret.. xD

  • How do u do it in the Wii system

  • The trick does not come out as it did?

  • @Lamh0902 It's not as easy as it looks. You have to reset at just the right frame.

  • I love how rolling in TP ACTUALLY makes you go faster.

  • @KerwinAndreDumont It did in OoT/MM too, iirc. It's just that it's a lot easier to walk backwards in those.

  • It's actually Back to the future xp

  • OH NO TIME PARADOX!

  • I like how you said to do it at the peak of your jump. That is a lot easier than what the other videos say...

  • wait does this work if i'm playing the gamecube version on the wii since you have to reset?

  • @SSJZack7 oh nvm i got it,thanks for the vid.

  • EPIC .____.

  • I can't get through the door

  • When I jump off I just start back in the forest

  • @PrestigeIncorporated The point in which you reset the game has to be frame perfect. If you're jumping off and starting back in the forest, you're either not resetting and have never even heard of the Back in Time Glitch, or resetting 3-4 seconds late.

  • DAWN of the first day-72 hours remind

  • @mario23138 this shit was discovered on the wii (well, the Back In Time glitch was at least).

  • Okay, this is officially the easiest BIT glitch yet. I managed to do this on my first try, whilst the Arbiter's Grounds method took me over an hour! All you have to do is press the reset button at the peak of your jump. The timing couldn't be any easier....

Although, I might've been just lucky.

Anyway, great video, mzxrules! You just gained a new subscriber! ;)

  • @robotortoise You were probably lucky, as the timing is just as strict.

Also, if you haven't heard of it already, Zeldaspeedruns is where all the top zelda people (well, 64 era onward) are.

  • @mzxrules Yep, probaly lucky... XD. Hmm...Maybe I'll try it again and see if I get the same result....

Yeah, thanks. I like Zelda glitches and bugs, but I'm not really a goodspeedrunner, but I check it out every ounce in a while. ;)

  • @robotortoise lol, I don't speedrun at all. I just admins there and document tricks whenever I get around to it.

  • What happens if you press start at 1:25?

  • @Firetail42 It depends. If you press start after the title logo has appeared, you just go to the file select screen. If you press start just as you fall into a void, you load up the file select screen, but the next save you load will spawn in Kakariko Gorge, during the King Bublin 1 Fight with everything else normal (if the game doesn't crash).

  • Do you have to have your memory card off the Gamecube because when I tried to do this I had my memory card on slot A?

  • @TheLink2003 Of course not. I think I did it this way to prove that I was starting a fresh game, and not having a memory card inserted made it easier to start new attempts

  • @mzxrules Ok, thanks.

  • Ò_Ó

  • Back in Time ??? , From that ponit is like Fast Forward, no???

  • doesnt it sound like link is saying, "damn" when he does the spin attack?

  • lol... its like your skipping very little part of the game... i keep wondering how we do that with the wii... do we use the reset button on the wii? or the one in the home button thingy on the wii mote?

  • @hawk99578 I believe it doesn't matter which reset you use. In a speedrun however, I believe pressing the reset button on the console would be faster.

  • @mzxrules it doesnt work... all it does is go to that screen... its so hard with the wii... when DO you press "reset"

  • @hawk99578 hit home just after you jump, but before you reach the peak of your jump, and click reset. The correct timing should be around there somewhere. Understand that it requires perfect timing, so you might have to play around with the timing a bit.

  • @mzxrules thanks... but logitechSDAZ gave me better instructions.

  • @mzxrules is it just mine or does the game-cube take about 2 secs to reset ???

  • @EmFanMAX what do you mean?

  • @mzxrules i did it but i had 2 do this thing were you jump attack and you press (up)on the d-pad but the sword has to be pointing right/ then hold (x) then start then (b). but when i end up on the bridgei fall down and quickly press (a) and when i go on my file it freezes :L btw im tryna do equipped.

  • @EmFanMAX doing the equipped back in time glitch is an entirely different ballgame. The game will crash if it doesn't like the spot in which you saved at in the game you load during BiT.

  • @mzxrules were do i save ? ( in hyrule ? )

  • ahaha i love this

  • @mzxrules oh on the cd streaming to get to Eldon early when do you time opening the gamecube the second time u do it cuz when I do I can see the glitches part where it didn't load but then I open my gc wen it starts to load then it goes to plz shut cover and I doe it but then the glitch turns into a fence

  • How is this back in time

  • @jared1016 the glitch name is a misnomer. The glitch was originally discovered in Arbiture's Grounds, which meant you could literally go back in the game's events and redo them.

  • For example in Wind Waker, Twilight Princess's original engine, where you can skip Tetra's gossip stone cutscene to later on in the game (where you get the bombs), you will get into the pirate ship with Niko and the platforms, and when you walk outta the pirate ship, you're at the pirate ship, outside Forsaken Fortress swordless. If you save and go to the moblins in Outset forest, they'll throw ya into the jail on Forsaken fortress, and you can walk to the top of FF and see Aryll again!!

  • Can this be done in the Wii version

  • Of course it can.

  • damn it's not working for me

  • Are you making sure to reset just after you reached the peak of your jump?

  • yes but i just apparntly don't time it right

  • once your in the back in time place how do you leave

  • what do you mean by that?

  • how do you exit arbiters ground

  • you walk out the exit?

  • no i meanwhen you shut off the system does it make it so you stay back in time?>

  • save and you'll be in Farom wods with Hero clothes and ordon sword and Hylian shield.

  • do you lose all your progress

  • In Arbider's grounds: yes.

Here: No, cuz you didn't had anything. :P

  • ok ty but what if i dont save at arbiters grounds

  • Nothing, it doesn't matter if you save before AG cuz when you save while BiT glitch, you wil start in FW

  • so i just wont save then

  • Just wondering, why are you talking about Arbiture's Grounds?

  • from arbitures grounds you can get back in time

  • And if you were paying any attention to this vid, you would have noticed that i just did the back in time glitch in the first 2 minutes of the game, without going to Arbiture's Grounds.

  • When do you reset exactly? Since the gamecube don't has the home button, I can't figure out when you press the button. And then I can't do it. Because of this find, this is the new speed run route and I wanna make one. So this is important for me.

  • What I find to be an incredibly accurate gauge of whether you fail or succed is if you watch the final few frames before the screen goes completely black from the reset. With that said, the console button release point is at just after Link's jump peaks, while the point you hold down on the soft reset (start + b + x) is a step or two before jumping off the bridge. I prefer the (start + b + x) method not because it's more accurate, but because it's more comfortable to do.

  • How do you do that?

  • With a little luck, and a well timed game reset.

  • The clip is not undiscovered. It is a known clip.

  • the trick isn't the clip....

  • HOLY CRAP! That was just amazing!!!

  • I had a feeling this would work for any cliff

  • I had that feeling too when I made that video called Back In Time Anywhere or something like that.

  • Can this be done on the gamecube?

  • That was gamecube

  • WHOOOPS! I'm so used to seeing people play this on the wii, that I automatically ask that question when I see a good glitch. my bad.

  • yeah amazing mzxrules, but also credit to logitechSDAZ for finding the back in time glitch with controller. ^^

  • And credit for MASTERLINKX for finding the trick in the first place (the Wii version).

  • Yeah also credit to MASTERLINX. ^^

  • awesome!!

  • Could this probably work in a speedrun?

  • there's a very good chance this could work in a speedrun. In this vid it takes me about 1:30 to pull off this trick, but it could easily be improved by 10 seconds if i didn't walk down the bridge as far and don't pause the game for the START + B + X

This would save about 10-20 seconds on just the first and second day skip (since you don't need to do that trill stuff), plus the save warp to faron is right next to the horse reeds. But the biggest timesaver is

  • that goatherding puts you right next to the mayor's house, which saves a lot of time used for backtracking for the iron boots.

If everything goes right, the current route shouldn't change too much more after entering the twilight in laranyu

  • Cool, I'll have to try it out then. :)
