@KEYBLADE8241 Ah sorry, its now called HBGames.org. You'll find the download link to a demo with the script and several characters in the description of the video called "RPG Maker XP Tales of Battle System" which is about 14 minutes and 57 seconds long on my channel. The video displays most of the characters in the demo.
@surajg0at Yeah I know I have a lot of people requesting a tutorial but I've been so busy. I really want to make the tutorial but I might not have time until December when the college semester ends. I'm taking 15 credit hours heh... But I'll defiantly create a tutorial sooner or later.
what digital renders? The script isnt hard to use, if you have sprites to use they are easy to work with, what else would you use in this system to make it hard to use?
making sprites from 3d models is easy. Using sprites from other games is easier. None of this you're saying is hard so the question remains, how is using this system hard? I'm not arguing, just curious. (I didn't say you said I was, I'm letting you know just incase you thought I was. Not trying to sound rude if I am.)
3d rendering is not easy, you obviously haven't done it. the script may be easy to modify, though most are. When you sit for hours and maybe even days drawing sprite sheets then you'll see what im talking about. For my brother and I it takes us both combined about 10 hours to spit out a sheet from scratch. it aint easy.
drawing sprites not easy. taking screenshots of 3d models to make into sprites is easy. (if thats what you mean by 3d render.) You don't draw 3d models. Plus you said the "System" is hard to use not the sprites. I have done it infact i've drawn sprites, rendered sprites, ripped sprites, modified sprites, ect.
your game has pixel art, if you use flash maya 3ds max cinema 4d then that is rendering and its not easy. i got to school for that. and yes you do draw that stuff out. you're unfamiliar with how those programs work. If you were then you know that modelling texturing and rendering takes hours... not minutes like pixel art.
ok, I want to say something though. Pixel art doesn't take minutes... But obviously I don't know what you mean by 3d rednering so you must have more knowlede about that then me. Let's leave it at that ok?
all im saying is that i used to do pixel art when i was 12 and got rm2k. I'm 21 now at art school for animation and when i draw out my sprites (from scratch) it takes hours or days to do one sheet because you have to render each character through 3d program or completely draw them frame by frame in flash. basically the art aspect of the games i make are all original that makes this script very difficult to handle

HumanIceTea 8 months ago
Can I ask what game did you get the sprites from? That character sprite looks so cool. :)
AtsushiGushiken 8 months ago
definently need to put restrictions on where you can walk, or zoom in on the battle scene so it doesnt look so ackward.
millgiass 11 months ago
I am sincerely impressed this was possible with RPG maker. Considering it was supposedly not possible to change the battle system.
Exevalon 1 year ago
@Exevalon well with RPG M 2000 and 2003 yes, but with XP and VX you have Ruby script that allows for full control over every aspect of a game

I could totally see a Star Ocean style game being made for RMXP. It looks promising, but just needs a little refinement.

I looked up Dragon Blade DS, no such game. You're talking about the Wii game, and those sprites are definitely not from it.
IfTheBannersFall 2 years ago
Sorry I meant Draglade DS XD
kingdomslasher 2 years ago
Yeah I got it on sprite database. I never said I made it just using it temporarily.

I know you got it from sprite database.I was just saying where the sprite originally came from.

this system is hard to use dont use it if you're a noob
EnsignSmith 2 years ago
It's not really hard to use. It's actually easy to figure it out then it's easy to use.
nazra7 2 years ago
yeah when you dont draw your sprites
EnsignSmith 2 years ago
Ofcourse. I hate doing pixel art.
nazra7 2 years ago
im not talking about pixel art im talking about digital renders
EnsignSmith 2 years ago
what digital renders? The script isnt hard to use, if you have sprites to use they are easy to work with, what else would you use in this system to make it hard to use?
nazra7 2 years ago
if you digitally render your sprites with flash or maya, modifying snes sprites isn't making your own
