I've bottlefed calves, slung bales of hay, stacked hay in the barn, gardened, rode a horse bareback around chairs (wanted to be a barrel racer...my dad did the rodeo circuit a few years), climbed trees, fished, hunted, camped out (would rather have an rv), went crawdad fishin', drove a tractor, fed cattle, gathered eggs, fed pigs...lol. I want to live in the country again.....i'm in a small town city right now...ugghhh
@TexasMom, I hear you! I grew up in the country too, the smell of horse manure, the sound of the coleman lantern hissing at night, giant tomatoes, night fishing, the put-put of a John Deer. Perhaps to experience the natural beauty of our existence is the greatest gift of all!
I grew up on an East Texas farm and just LOVE seeing old tractors! ....and old barns too!
