2. The stole the BCC and playing their spirit song down the field march in 2000 at the classic for the 1st time. I was there. They got that idea from JSU who have been doing that since the 70's. Also BCC drum majors have taken a JSU type intro on the field.
BCC is garbage and they thrashed BCC.I know everyone heard the end of Neck when they kept throwing that back in their face..BCC is trash and a copycat band

I am a proud marching wildcat alumni and i have to agree with what was said about the intro at the classic we come out hard as hell but we dont finish i was so crunk when they came out talkin major trash on famu side just to be silenced by our critics we have to finish i would have rather seen the dance routine the band did at the battle of the bands in charleston south carolina now that was a complete show i give credit when credit is due at the classic we must finish fam served us halftime

I am a student at FAMU..but I must say that FAMU is living off of legacy and wish that they would realize that so we can improve. Our arrangement of neck could have been wrote by a high school student! And I also must say that FAMUANS have a hard time giving props where they are due. Definately not an imposter...amd just to let you know I am a third year MBA candidate...And to add no I am not with music now but I spent 8 years of my life dedicated to music. All of the 100 is not unseen in my eyes but anyone that goes to school at FAMU knows that FAMU has went down even from my freshman year till now. This marching season was horrific! Although they have many accomplishments in the past, I am simply saying that they aren't on that level anymore and they need to step it up!
fact of life - the band/school/anything was ever "as good as my freshman year." everybody says that. as an mba candidate, i'd expect you to understand the law of diminishing marginal utility. same theory applies here.
Oh and to add, I never got into the complexity of Cookmans music..I said that many of their arrangements are unbelievable. The way that they are put together and how they make everything their own. and if you are a true musician as you have portrayed yourself to be you would also know that it does not take complexity to make a song sound good. FAMU has played Neck since at least the late 1980's when I was in high school because my band director was a 100 drum major and that and say la la were the first songs we learned. I was at the classic also you will notice cookman was playing when we were singing. Also, it is obvious that the camera man was near the cookman side, look at the angle of the shoots.
I do give BCU credit thought, they have come a looooong way. They were good in the late 70's and early 80's, horrible there-after, and is now a power. Kudos. I'm also feeling BCU's crunkness in the stands. Now if they only put on a full show, instead of just an intro. Go FAMU, go MEAC!
FAMU always puts on a 'full' show. When is BCU finally going to put on more than an 'intro' of a show? Don't come unto the field all crunk to end up doing nothing. So until BCU can do something more than an intro, they shouldn't even think about stepping to the sensei of college bands.

Let's get real, if To Be Real REALLY cranked over Neck then why is it that you hear Neck while they're playing it. Aa cfk5 stated, the camera is right across from bcc.
It's called sound projection. FAMU is playing away from the camera, while BCU is playing towards it. I sat on FAMU's side during this game, and could only hear BCU. My friends on BCU side said they could only hear FAMU. Good sound on both sides though. Very clear, unlike many of the SWAC bands.
BCC is better then famu i think :) more sound

Damn, you can tell someone who must have just discovered HBCU bands. They listen to whatever someone tells them. BCC/BCU had neeeeever played 'Da Butt', not sure about 'Neck'. FAMU had been playing it since I went to FAMU... back in 1995, lmao! Dumb ass! Btw, 'Let's Go Wildcats' came from FAMU in the 70's. And tell your drumline to quit 'striking' when showing. Dumbasses still haven't noticed that's a snake they're doing. lol.

Ok, scratch my "Lets Go Wildcats" comment. But BCU just started playing "Da Butt" a couple years ago. "Neck" FAMU plays, but not very often at all. Thats mostly a SWAC thing. And could BCU stop copying FAMUs steps, and drumline presentation? Dang, BCU is even trying to match their number of drum majors! And have your drummajors stop impersonating SU's drummajor by back-bending & touching the hat to the ground. SU was first to do that. BCU are such followers. Do something original please. Lol.

you stupid as hell nigga. FAMU just rewrote Neck and started playing it but they havent played it in a while(A LONNNNNNNNNNNNG TIME THO) BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE su ARRANGEMENT SO I GUESS YOU ALL COPY ALSO.LOL. MY FRIEND IS IN THAT BAND AND HE SAID THEY JUST GOT IT.

what did FAMU copy from SU's arrangement? get the fugg outta here! FAMU just brought neck back out again. the orange and green bands played it in 04 and i personally heard the whole band play in 2000. if u think that's a loooooooong time ago then ur stupider than u sound

well you really cant blame BCU ppl for not knowing. they just got a band in 2000. but FAMU has played da butt since the song came out in 1988 and i heard them play neck back in 2000. but dont believe the hype BCU didnt make those songs popular and FAMU's versions sound more like cameo and EU

FAMU has played Neck since at least the late 1980's when I was in high school because my band director was a 100 drum major and that and say la la were the first songs we learned. I was at the classic also you will notice cookman was playing when we were singing. Also, it is obvious that the camera man was near the cookman side, look at the angle of the shoots.

I do give BCU credit thought, they have come a looooong way. They were good in the late 70's and early 80's, horrible there-after, and is now a power. Kudos. I'm also feeling BCU's crunkness in the stands. Now if they only put on a full show, instead of just an intro. Go FAMU, go MEAC!

FAMU always puts on a 'full' show. When is BCU finally going to put on more than an 'intro' of a show? Don't come unto the field all crunk to end up doing nothing. So until BCU can do something more than an intro, they shouldn't even think about stepping to the sensei of college bands.

Let's get real, if To Be Real REALLY cranked over Neck then why is it that you hear Neck while they're playing it. Aa cfk5 stated, the camera is right across from bcc.

It's called sound projection. FAMU is playing away from the camera, while BCU is playing towards it. I sat on FAMU's side during this game, and could only hear BCU. My friends on BCU side said they could only hear FAMU. Good sound on both sides though. Very clear, unlike many of the SWAC bands.
