Necrophagist is just.. amazing. The whole Onset of Putrefaction album is just pure gold. I think it's hilarious that people would say the song sucks because they can't hear anything. It's an amateur recording assholes, heavy music never comes through unless it's a professional recording. Listen to the studio version to judge it. A lot of people don't understand this music though so they will never change. Oh well, at least Death Metal will never be trendy.

Necro is def far more technical than death but I agree: in terms of their lyrics, heart and presence, Necro is a long shot from being as influential and legendary as Death. Live in LA is a very powerful show and I ahve yet to see any live necro show that feels the same. Necro still owns 90% of the death metal scene though and Muhammed is definitely giving death metal a push in the right direction.
