Tough call, Matt Helders is a really good drummer and his compositions are oftenly really complex. First AM-song I played was Teddy Picker. It's not easy, though. Takes a lot of practice. Good luck!

I think Matt uses a crash-ride. That means he can hit his ride on the edge and make it sound kinda crashy. Listen to the song again, from 3:03 does it sound like a ride is being played?

And no it's not picky! But I think your question is based more on image than sound.

Remo O rings if im correct, there what i have any way and they look just the same, to be honest i find moongel to be a better dampening device whereas the rings still leave a little bit of the ring left, its all personal choice really though x
