@Diosukekun I kind of agree i believe a few people like malcolm x for example had that power. The problem is though that its just a difficult task that many are just willing to perform i mean to be an egalitarian and all. To me its seems this obsession with being better then the next person is why racism was so infectious. I believe its at the root of most if not all facets in the world like the genocides in nations, wars, animal cruelty, even sports. This really could humans biggest problem.

Currently unemployed so I have plenty of time to soak up the Library of Congress collection of "Go tell It on the Mountain", "Giovanni's Room", "Another Country", "Going to Meet the Man" and some other stories. I was one year old when this film was shot, and had not read a word of his until now. A brilliant, couragous and insightful man who had his mind fixed on the pulse of the hateful times and people that surrounded him. If he didn't win a Pulitzer, he should have.

I love James Baldwin. I don't see how anyone can read Going To Meet the Man and not have your way of thinking changed. One of the most uncomfortable pieces of literature I have ever read. I recommend it to everyone!
