I have a BR6F and always play amp vol at 10. I control the vol from the guitar. For reverb I use an EH Cathedral Strereo. Have used other pedals and all sound great. This amp has some of the best glassy vintage sound I've heard. As a bedroom amp it's awesome too. LOVE IT. Traded it for a 80's Fender Bassman 70 and haven't regretted it for a second.

if you pin it you get that zz top overdrive, even better with a les paul
