No. I am almost 100% certain that the PS1 version did not lag like the PSP version. If you are playing the PS1 version on the PSP (like the PSN version), it doesn't lag either. Square just got lazy and intentionally programmed in the lag for some reason.
Can you give me some leveling up tips/ easy ways of leveling up? Is a good to level up by completely mastering one job class at a time with each character?
Might I ask what sound plugin you are using for this emulation? I'm using P.E Op.S. DSound 1.9 and it is giving me bad results. Yours sounds perfect.
