(Luke 17:3) Take heed to yourselves. If your brother trespasses against you, rebuke him. And if he repents, forgive him.
(Ecclesiastes 8:11) Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.
We just did a show on Love Your Enemies, but this video definitely expresses everything we were talking about in cartoon format. Great job! - Hart 2 Heart
i believe that in every bad guy. in every enemy of yours there is a little good in his heart. and if you can make it get bigger and bigger and change it into a good heart then god will reward you for that.
Beautiful. I want to add I'm an atheist too, but I don't think that's important - what really matters at the end of the day is whether we are a good person or not. Props, loved it!
The way to love your enemies is see that they're punished for their wrongdoings...that way they can be absolved, learn from their mistakes, and make better people of themselves.
@mphlohi interesting take. The MOST IMPORTANT element in that equation is that the 'punishment' is administered out of LOVE for the person - not out of the myriad of human emotion that comes to play when we've been wronged. When you find someone that can judge from a place of PURE LOVE, then that person can administer punishment and NO ONE ELSE.
@kris10cartoons As mere mortals we can only have 'concerns' for them if they are willing to stop attacking us. Thank G-d they sometimes do stop and show us a very nice side of them.
@kris10cartoons Thank you for your video and forum. How can you love your enemies if they are not just beligerent , but harming or even murdering your neighbors (whom you should also love) ???
@RobertMOdell that is an excellent question. I'm from the Detroit area, so it's something we experience regularly. It's hard to see past the ACT, to the person, especially if the act comes from a place of complete disregard for other lives & feelings. You know, most times when a person has little regard for other lives, they have even less regard for their own. The only answer is 'walk a mile in their shoes'. Not very popular, but building relationships is the only way to tear down hate.
@kris10cartoons I'm not talking about those who are wrecklessly hurting others and themselves. I am talking about intentionally hurting others as a matter of plan and policy in order to further selfish gain. Think Stalin, Hitler, or even Chase Bank. How do you "walk in their shoes"?
@RobertMOdell those were allowed to develop over time through a series of events that were met w apathy, misinformed support, or just poor judgment. Each is the result of a community - none acted independent of a large support group. It's impossible to combat a large group intent on destruction - you can only do the best w what you've got & hope it's enough. Positive effect always begins w loving relationships - seek to create those whenever possible, & u can help prevent your examples.
@sknygrydg07 Respectfully, you are answering another question which I have not asked. If you are a Christian living under Hitler, how DO you love your enemies (the Nazis) who are hurting your neighbor(s)?
Hey, thanks for the comment. I really appreciate a non-'bible thumper' chiming in - 'treating people with kindness' is not just for those who believe in a higher being, but for everyone.
Thanks! I beginning to wonder if I'm a 'one hit wonder' - haven't made anything quite as good as this yet. But, still trying. Thanks for the feedback.
Can this be made into a gif. It's wonderful.

You guys often discredit biblical contradictions by saying they are out of context.
For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even
the publicans the same? And if ye salute your brethren only, what do
ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? (Matthew 5:46-47)
"Principle of "Christian love": it insists upon being well paid in the end...." Friedrich Nietzsche
That's what you call Love?

Love this! The whole image is awesome, and makes you really think about how challenging it is to love. Hate is easier. It's more natural.
But when you see someone loving like that, it's somehow...right.
Like your nature knows that this is what we were meant to do. :)
