Ese perro está muy descuidado , yo tengo uno que tiene 3 meses y está del tamaño de este, además le falta mucho cepillado y tiene cola que para esta raza eso es inaceptable además que estéticamente se ve muy mal .'DENLE ALIMENTO DE BUENA CALIDAD A SU MASCOTA, ESPECIALMENTE A ESTA RAZA' porque este perro esta muy desnutrido. Repito, el mio tiene tres meses de edad y pesa 18 kilos .Tu perrito no vale ni 500 pesos,con todo el respeto porque una vida no tiene $ y mucho menos de una mascota ;)

Serious question: Does cutting the tail actually hurt the dog in any way aside from the initial pain? I dunno, does it mess with the dogs balance at all? Cuz I see plenty of dogs with bobtails, oes or no, and they seem pretty normal. :P

@Blargleflakes The tail could almost be compared with the ability to speak on humans. Dog dont use sound that much when communicating. what they use is bodylanguage, tail and ears being the most important part of it. So its much more difficult for other dogs to understand a dog that has had its tale cut of. For example ears that point forvard and up often means attacking and for example dopermans ears are cut in a way that signals agression for other dogs.

And anyway what is the point?Why do it?

Aldo is FABULOUS!  I have an OES and she plays this exact same game! We call it "two sticks" My dog has a tail - it's beautiful but you have to watch out for glassware on coffee tables! Thanks for posting - your dog is beautiful

@dibujanteable si amigo, el san bernardo es mas alto y mas corpulento que el pastor ingles, aunque por su caracter prefiero al pastor, ahora bien el san bernardo tiene un pelo menos dificil de cuidar y es un perro de trabajo porlo que requiere de mucha actividad para ser feliz. Y PARA NINGUN perro es suficiente un patio grande ni una azotea grande, necesitan ser parte de su familia y ejercitarse cotidianamente para tener una buena salud mental ademas de una buena alimentacion. Docking is illegal in some countries. It's usually only used when sheepdogs are used for herding because cattle might step on their tails.

our one had too for an operation, it doesn't hurt them or anyfin, so instead of wagging his tail he has to wag his whole bum!!!!!!!
