Are you unloading sugar or salt? Maybe you aren't plugging since the product is fine. I do rock salt and that crap is pretty ornery. I gotta watch it like a hawk while unloading or it clumps and plugs the line. Happened enough times that maybe I should film unplugging a line.
the company i work for we mainly haul pebble lime, that shit is nasty, gotta wear safey glasses, and long sleeves in the summer time and a mask if the place we are loading is dusty. and yeah unloading in the pouring rain and snow sucks!! haha
Nice vid :-) I am hauling a Feldbinder pneumatic trailer in Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden and Denmark). Looks a bit different. Will try to upload some pics or vids later. Would bee fine with some more pics/vids from your company as well. Would be nice with a bit more pneumatic stuff on youtube!
@NorwegianTrucker Thanks! It would be good to get more uf us on here. I have carried my camera a thousand times hoping to be able to film unpluging it but never plug it up
Depends on where it's stopped and what the product is. It can be as simple as pulsing the pressure valve on finicky powder loads... to thumb-sized pebbles where you may need to completely dump your pressure and go in through the access plates under the product valves to pick the stuff out. Just remember... gravity still works, so you have to be careful. I'd say make sure the valve is closed, but if you're plugged, it may not even be possible to move it.
Sorry for the delay getting back to you my pc was in the shop gettin upgrades. Like spacerconrad said you can pulse the psi valve, OR you can suck it back into the tank. this is done by closing the product valve, opening the blowdown to evac the air from the tank. shutting the aerators off, putting all the air thru the product line and opening the product valve back up. The air will escape thru the blowdown creating suction on the product line and will clear the plug. hope this gives you an
Yeah, i guess the tags are kinda funny, but i was bored and just started typing. I went before i started pumping, but i drank a big bottle of gatorade against my good judgement. My wife said the same thing about me and the stereo...I rarely watch T.V. Thanks for watching man
same here with the tv, my only weakness is Nascar, but i try to pretend im really there tailgating , so we always bbq while watchin da pre-race, then sip some suds while watchin da race lol
this vid brings back old memories,...seems like ya always gotta pee while unloadin ah tanker, (mine was oil) and i used to jump like hell too if someone were to walk up behind me, and da noise, took my old lady with me on a nite call once, and she said to me: now i know why you always have da dam TV so friggin load! lol
I dont know about the ear plugs...they annoy me. I like doing this a lot more than pulling a dry van or a reefer, and it is a tie with dump trucking. i can work in the rain with one of these, but unloading is a bitch when its pouring rain, or snowing 3" an hour. Thanks for watching
Thanks for watching. this is an older trailer, it would look better if the wash crew didnt spray acid on everything, every time that they wash. we have a few that are only a few months old, but are already streaked to hell from the acid.
Ah your not a straight pipe blower man huh? lol Sorry I couldn't hear ya! I drove a truck for over a year with no muffler on the blower. The old boss dint put um on to save money.... I mostly did fly ash and cement but I did alot of bead plastic for a company here in town, Man people loved me running to to 1600 and start blowin off at 4 am... I kinda miss it not the plugs or broken hoses but it was fun..
I did run it straight for a while, but then i realized why my old man is damn near deaf. I usually run corn products, flour, meal, grits, starch etc, but every once in a while i pull plastic. The plugs keep things interesting. Thanks for watching!
Dude... that looks like FUN FUN.... and Id like you to prove your head is that empty so I'll be waiting on a vid of you banging on your head with that hammer.
Thanks
