i did the same mod except i switched the inside japanese game to american so i get the best of both worlds. i have american text in an awesome looking japanese sf2 cartridge! i also upgraded my snes2 to s-video doing a mod

it dosnt harm the game system in any way and if done right you cant even see the mod anyway

@AntichristDemoncore The real names will always be the correct ones to me. Few players realize that Vega (the dictator) is actually named after the star Vega, because most western players usually say that "Vega" is a better name for a Spaniard. Nope, that would be Balrog.

@CliftonPeru I recommend Gundam Wing Endless Duel. It's one of the sickest fighting games I have ever played. It holds its value though. I'm glad I got it though.

Another character that got a name change from the Japanese version was Balrog (the boxer) - in Japan he's known as M. Bison - Mike Bison perhaps? :)

He looked and sounded too much like Mike Tyson. So to avoid legal BS they switched the names. Our bison is vega, Balrog is M. Bison. And our Vegas is Balrog. Sagat is still Sagat. And he is sitting on the left and the other is sitting on the right and I don't know which way is up!!

It's a Super Famicom Mini or SNES 2. Released at the end of the snes's life span.

its just like some companies like sony, who come out with slim version of their playsations.. i remember when i got my slim ps2 and the ps3 was already out... in 1997 the snes was still popluar and games were still being released...so they released a compact version of the snes
