Exactly. People have to face facts with the defecit the US has built with China..in massive debt to China..its put China int eh ideal position it wanted to be in. It was once that the US set the times for US/China political meetings..now China increasingly says when things will take place..they are in charge of the timetable. Their military is growing at an unbelieivable rate. People forget that while their spending is lower than the US so is costs and labour. Putting them in a better position.

Im a British Royal Marines Commando..i dont like it..but the factis its too late to reverse. They ARE to be the new global supreme superpower. Its their time. Britain had the biggest empire known to man...American has had global superpower status..now China are preparing to take the reigns..no ones going to stop them thats for sure. Their military tech is growing at a phenomenal rate. And as i've said .their labour and material costs are a hell of a lot cheaper..cheapening the spending argument.

Well you might want to include Taiwan in the equation. China does not have to have a huge budget in order to attack Taiwan. Taiwan is not a part of China and you mistakenly assumed that this increase in spending is somehow "natural". It's not. The U.S. high military spending are due to wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and even China knows this. Plus the U.S. DOWNSIZED their forces since the Clinton administration. Go figure. Taiwan is the target and as a democracy it must be defended.
