@rockbutt123: I don't think you really looked at the scene close enough. The joker had his own school bus since he drove it out of the bank during the robbery in the start of the movie. He knew that school buses were amongst the city's transportation to evacuate the hospital and therefore had his men pull up and grab some potential hospital hostages for the ferry scene at the end of the movie. All his men did was wait for him to blow up the hospital and hop aboard his own stolen bus.

I just love how the Joker doesnt watch (in the bus) as the hospital falls down. He doesnt worry or care, what's in the past. Think about how hard it must be for an actor, that you can see cool ass explosion but you musnt watch it. And you can act it only once. But Heath did it. Makers of the film said they really wanted to use this scene, but they couldnt... :(

And to be honest, having two face again would undo everything done in the dark knight. For example, as Maroni said, everyone knew Batman doesnt kill, therefore making his scare tatics less valued when it comes to being the symbol to stop criminals, etc. Taking on Harveys murder rap will know echo into the myth that criminals know he will get his hands dirty with killing if he has to, a more valued tool for Batman to use. Just like the comics.

The cop incident was also timed & planned. He needs no weapon but is clever at using whatever is available to him. Batman smashes his face into a window, breaking the glass. Remember the weapons they pulled from his pocket- one was a fucking POTATO peeler for fucks sake. So what did he do? He used the glass as a weapon & intimidate a cop into getting physically close to him. The cops wouldnt risk the shot, killing one of thier own, so they gave him his phone call, which allowed the escape.

He was good at anticipating peoples' moves and generally reading them. Therefore, he was able to buy off his thugs with money to keep them loyal while he preyed on Gambol. They were loyal keeping the bus running (which he stole beginning of movie), and timed the clown getting hit with the bus like he did everything else in the movie. Only thing he toyed with was Harvey's coin. That could have finished him, but then again, you never DID see the outcome...

What i think is interesting is that if you notice Joker is very much watching the coin as it falls it kinda gives the impression that he wasn't going to let him shoot if it would've landed that way but then again you could also take it as him savoring the moment, as a Sane person might not even want to look -they would probably close their eyes. U know, The Joker had influence on Ppl. He could have been done with long ago. At Gambol's house he was wrapped in a big black plastic bag, he could have been killed easily. At the Hospital explosion here, they could have abandoned him with the tumbling debris. At the Bank, the clown asking "What Bus Driver" could have shot him & taken the money. The Phone call incident the other cop could have shot him. Harvey Dent could have blown his head off in the hospital too.
