Did the writers get replaced or something. Cuz like once season 4 began things got so different way too rapidly, it got messy. I adore the characters and enjoy every bit of the show but dang the writers reeaally left us hanging and all supernatural. I can't believe this is it. T-T

The inner senses that Miss Parker developed, thanks to her mother side, its something she suppose to increase and learn to used if the series had continue. Like I said before, the characters' stories remained in the air. How sad is watch Jarod alone looking for his family and never found them. How sad is watch Jarod and Miss Parker hide their feelings to each other...hahaha Im really sad!! wow, it was so cool to find fans who still care about the subject; sorry for the english :)

@laotianrose you know in my opinion, the clone story was good...but the Ethan's story was overload and unnecessary. If you see, the producers instead to gave us answers in the movies they just put more secrets, more lies and more questions; they waste the time to do a perfect ending for the story. If like they didnt knew how to ended. For a series that has 4 season and 2 movies, I think was long enough to gave us a perfect ending but they screwed adding more dead ends; its depressive :""(

I have to admit that Miss Parker is my favorite character in the series. She is a complex character. I love and hate her at the same time. I would loved it to see her and Jarod destroy the Centre. I hate to watch this movie knowing that she ended working for the man who kills her mother...OMG!! SO TWISTED!!...I can't believe the producers let this story crash in the middle of nowhere...but I'm still watched because the characters are so good...

@laotianrose Miss Parke has a tormented life too.The Centre was the only home she allowed to live, so its difficult for her to break the rule even when she knows she is wrong. She is damage emotionaly. M.P. is a "work in progress" character. She suppose to had a transformation and become more like to her mother. But remember, she is a Parker too. So she fight with that damn heritage too. But the movie leave us in the air, the characters nevers able to complete their lifes;sorry for my english

The Center wins, OMG!!, This is the most sad suspense/drama tv series I ever see. They never have the chance to discover the secrests of their past, Jarod always running, fugitive; Miss Parker become a slave-worker, more confuse than before. If the Center lives they are condemned to live alone without a hope. The Center needs to be destroyed. And please, give to Jarod & Miss Parker a night together,they deserve better....but the third movie still in hold :'(

@ECFanForever well that's a given..the centre will never let Jarod go..they'll always chase him, and it seems we're not going to get the answers we want about who he is or why the centre wants him so bad..so like he said once again it's the centre who stops him from finding out, we're still searching for those answers as well..

I was wondering, what is this ring on Miss Parker's hand at the very end? It looks like she's looking at it or caressing it or something, after the phone call. Maybe it's nothing important, but it's been awhile since the last time I watched the show and I don't remember if this ring had any particular meaning to her. Anyone know?

I KNOW what the scrolls said. Mr. Parker told Ms. Parker that she does not die on the plane 'cause the scrolls say otherwise (meaning she plays a major part). And he told her that she was the start of the new Parker legacy. We know Jarod features prominently in the scrolls, too. It means Ms. Parker and Jarod will reconcile completely, fall in love, and their children (legacy) will have major influence on world events. Probably after Jarod finds his family and they bring down the Centre.

@XpaceTrue - That's exactly what I think as well. The first time I saw this movie, I immediately thought the prophecies are mostly about Miss Parker & Jarod. And since they got closer in this movie, I think it's a safe bet to say that they will get even closer and probably get together. Gosh... I WANT A THIRD MOVIE.... NOW!!!!!!!!

I think she does that to make sure the center does not know her true feelings for him and to keep him alive and free. remember the clone epsiode she describes to the clone of jarod of what she say in the real jarod as children

I don't know that she is truly trying to keep him free even if shes had her doubts though I agree she does not want him dead. As a couple though I can't see it. Jarod is a kind soul which would clash especially in the long term with her constant selfishness and as you said her heart is closed off.

And encouragement to find her own path, her own destiny without caving in to the Centre doctrination. Jarod wants her to find who she really is, so that she make the right choices and not be dragged down by her past.

Wow.  This movie is awesome. I thought "The Pretender 2001" was kind of weak, but this totally made up for it. I was really hoping for sparks between Jarod and Miss Parker - and I was not disappointed. They have to make the third movie! We need the answers to the questions, and those two need to finally get together and have peace - and a family.

I have thought about this at length and there seems to be only one sure ending.

They say that the legacy begins with Parker and that the only way to start the legacy is to bring Jarod back. Clearly Miss Parker is the one to bring him in, but the only way that will ever happen is if Jarod comes back WILLINGLY.

The only way he'll do that is if together they make some sort of plan to take over the Centre and make it a place of good. Parker and Jarod will have to find the scolls again. I'm sure Mr. Parker isn't dead either. "No one dies at the Centre."

Maybe together Miss Parker and Jarod turn it into some place that does charitable work like Catherine wanted. Cheasy, I know,but the only way it will actually work.

The centre shall rise. The chosen will be found, a boy named Jarod. Cryptic. The centre did rise and Jarod was found. The question, then, is what is meant by 'the chosen.' It's clear the prophecy is accurate in that regard, but 'chosen' for what? Running the centre? Destroying the centre? Rising the centre? Perhaps, maybe, it's just saying that after the centre was created, the individual chosen for the centre to focus on would be Jarod. Jarod's 'mom' factors into this somehow.

Perhaps Jarod's 'mom' is Catherine's sister? Mr. Parker can't have kids so is Lyle the father of his baby with Bridgette? Perhaps Raines is the father, or perhaps Major Charles' sperm was used to impregnate her? At the beginning of the 1st movie, it was said that they didn't want Miss Parker to learn the truth of her mother. What truth? That Catherine was the centre's brood mare? We know for sure that she birthed Ethan, Miss Parker, and Lyle.

This last film shows that, unlike other series, The Pretender is a series that can never end... which is great. It should come back, it has to! It's the only series that freaks me out with all its mysteries, and I love it :)!! Not to mention the excellent characters, actores and soundtrack!

In the grand scheme of things, 7 years between movies is not unheard of, take the Halloween movies for instance. All that is needed is for enough fans to show the studios there is still interest in "The Pretender".
