Roy reading that Vern teatched you make shiver, what a great opportunity! i trade some emails with Barry and he´s a fabulous person. my fave 60-s garage band are the Remains, still dream of watching them someday!
One of the best issues of Hit Parader (which also provided extensive coverage of the Beatles and Beach Boys) came out in 1966 and included an excellent article about Barry, Bill, Chip and Vern. So good I felt like I knew them personally!
I'm finally going to get a chance to see this tomorrow night (10/29) here in San Francisco!
I agree with one of the other comments below about the Remains being the best reunion band seen. I've seen a bunch as well and usually get depressed. The Remains rocked when I saw them at the Las Vegas Grind a few years ago.
@PAULLONDEN Ever listen to their music? Fuck charisma, these guys had the chops. Who cares if Barry looked like Gerry Marsden's twin brother...they could have blown the Pacemakers off the stage!
Where can one buy a copy?

Of all the reunions I've ever seen - and there have been a TON at this point - the best ever was when The Remains played NYC in, I believe, 1998.

The film is being screened in Los Angeles on July 16 at the Don't Knock the Rock Film Festival.

So is this really coming out??? I sure hope so!!! (Barry's book was cool but they deserve their own film)
